Trashing our program on twitter by saying that Cohen is destroying the program. No Steve you are hurting the program. And when you spit out a stat at least try to get them right

What did Cohen do to him. Did we not just go take 2 of 3 from them and only lose the 3rd because of a ******** call that mysteriously there is no video of?

Anyone know why his *** is so sandy when it comes to Cohen?

Screw that guy. Just another Polk pansy. I can't wait till Cohen sends us Omaha and wins the whole damn thing so these pussies will finally shut the 17 up. They probably got scared as hell last year when we were 3 freaking outs away.

over the last couple of weeks he has bashed Cohen and said:

1. he (gendron) never was under .500 in SEC play. False.
2. That we went 0-6 against LSU and SC. False
3. That having 10 teams in the SEC tourney is going to save some jobs. Does he realize we are now 5th in the SEC right now? Maybe we will finish 9th or 10th but not a well timed jab.

He said he wouldn't play for cohen if he got a full ride. he said he would play for Polk for free---well, apparently no pitchers felt that way.

yet another example that he doesn't know what he is talking about:

He calls out Cohen for saying we had no talent when he got here and congratulates Tyler Moore for making it to the bigs. Moore never played for Cohen.

What a total ahole. Just read his timeline. Dude has major issues. I think Cohen has done some stupid things at times. But this is obviously a personal hatred he has for Cohen.

I think I heard that somewhere. If so, having them on our bad side could potentially hurt recruiting in a big way. Does anyone know any more info on this?

then it was terrible b/c:

1. Cohen bitched about the talent he inherited
2. Polk now has TWO players in the MLB. Wow. Paps and Maholm were Mac's.

..as I am the *******(s) who invented Twitter.

Let's provide the 200 million shitheads in this country a nifty llittle devise where they can express their inner ******* in a consolidated forum.

Great idea. Nothing to worry about. It will all go swimmingly.

Jim interviewed Sam Frost and he mentioned playing for, or getting some summer coaching from, Gendron and Manny both. That is the only bit of info I have heard about it.

It's going to take a LONG time to ever get completely past the stigma from how Polk left, and the personality change to Cohen.

I thought after 4 years, we were past all that, but apparently we never will be. It's a shame that Cohen is having to rebuild this from the ground up, with limited help from the people that built the program in the first place.

What's bad is that he can't see how he is "also" at fault for the disconnect here. He's too busy blaming Cohen to get past any of it.

BTW, how is Polk doing at UAB? How is Raffo doing at Arkansas St? Once again, NEITHER will make a regional appearance...

And if you ask me what the most disappointing thing about Cohen's tenure has been so far, I would say the fact that many of the players didn't buy in to what he was doing. I think those seasons could have possibly been better if they had- like 30-26 type seasons as opposed to losing seasons.

I feel like you should play the game to win, and that should be above everything else. You should play to do your best. You shouldn't play solely for a coach and what that coach stands for. It's almost cultish how some of Polk's former players are.

I do think that we are making strides in changing the attitude of the program. I think that happened to a degree last year when we went to a SR. I still think that there was some work to do in that some people thought it was a fluke, and they just wanted to wait and see if it was or not before they bought in. I really think this season we are showing that last season wasn't a fluke. And I don't totally fault those people for the record- I can certainly understand a wait and see attitude here. I still think that there is more work to be done as well- we're not totally there yet.

But what I am starting to see is more and more support for MSU baseball and this coaching staff. I see it in the form of attendance starting to pick up, I see it in the form of support for the coaches on message boards and things like that.

Let's be honest- this is not an easy group to win ballgames with. Most are hurt, and many are inexperienced. Most teams like that have losing seasons- yet here we sit looking like we are likely to make a regional and are fifth in the SEC at the time being. The coaches have to get some credit for that at some point- not just Cohen but the assistants too.

And I'll be honest- I like that our coach was pissed off that we lost a game we shouldn't have instead of just looking into the camera and saying "well, that's baseball".

And as far as support- I'll say this to their face- I didn't like Polk II coming back. But I sure as hell kept supporting the program regardless. And I at least was man enough to give Polk II credit for the few good things he did like going to Omaha in 07 and winning the SEC Tournament in 05.

Also- as far as UAB- they're having a decent year. 27-23, and as you said will likely miss out on the tournament. To let this sink in for some of our fans- several of the players at UAB would have been at MSU had Polk stayed. That's a good representation of the talent we would have brought in. Middle of the pack C-USA talent.

Now for Raffo- I am very proud of him and what he is doing ASU despite like you said- he will probably miss the postseason. They're 27-19 with a 15-7 record in a good mid major conference. Like I said at the time- him not getting the MSU job was a great blessing for him. He wasn't ready for the job and he would have had Polk hanging over him. Now, he has gone out on his own, has his own assistants, and he is building a pretty solid program up in Jonesboro. I don't know if he will ever be the head coach at MSU, but I wouldn't be shocked if he moves up at some point in time over the next few years. He's doing what he needs to do right now.

If not for 8Dog's handy summaries, I'd have no idea what Miss Gendron was bitching about.

Hard to believe I actually agree with Ronny. This social media **** is completely out of control. Our chinese overlords are re-thinking whether they even want to seize control.

I'm guessing he interviewed for a job at State, and Cohen didn't hire him. I don't have any knowledge of that, but it seems like he's justmaking up reasons to be angry at Cohen, and that there's some sort of personal anger toward him.

I can't even remember his ***, must not have done much for us

I wish Cohen would get a slander suit filed on his 17 ***

( if that is possible) just to shut him up -- I know that will never happen

The one that bitched to Polk so much about lifting weights that that's when they basically slacked back big time on the strength training program? At least someone told me that. And he's listed on twitter as a strength coach? Nice

At least not seriously. Even our biggest home run hitters back in they day weren't big at all (except for Bulldog Bruce and he was just naturally big, he wasn't a weightlifter that I could tell).

I don't post on here much any more, but this irked me so I wanted to chime in. Regardless of how you feel about the direction of the program or the coaching staff, as an alumni and especially as a former player you should feel obligated to support and remain loyal to your alma mater. 17 that guy! Schools make ****** hires all the time (not saying Cohen was); as a supporter and alum of the school its your job to weather the storm and know that if your belief its a ****** hire is true then the right result will come in due time. But for him to basically turn his back on us and the program just cause he doesn't like the coach, for whatever reason, is ******** in my opinion. Like I said, 17 that guy!

gendron was a very good hitter while at state. i did not look anything up but i believe he is close toor at the top of the list when it comes to hits as a bulldog. he was also very versatile in the field and started games in right field, third, and was our starting shortstop his senior year if i recall correctly. so he was a heck of a college baseball player for us and the fact that some of yall don't know that really shows how, much like gendron, folks like to spout off about crap they have no clue of.

all that being said, i completely disagree with him bashing cohen and not being a loyal supporter to his alma mater. that benefits no one. no matter who they played for they were all Mississippi State Bulldogs. some blame can go to polk for things like this occurring BUT gendron is an idiot anyway. he wasa jerk in college, on and off the field, and apparently has never grown up. his opinion means nothing.

He hit .318 for his career and was drafted three times. The last time in the 13th round after his senior year at MSU. All of that still does not make him any less of a dick and, as you said, does not make his opinion meaningful in any way.
