Mentions that he failed to qualify academically at Wisconsin but was able to enroll at UNL. Does Wisconsin have higher standards than most? Or are we lower? In the grand scheme of things it really doesn't matter much but I don't want to be known as the "easy school" to get into.

well, i have seen comments that state it is one of the biggest reasons g.a. left for oregon state.

also, guess i was wrong about seeing stevenson in the backfield for a play or two. doesn't sound like he is really close. i just thought with the burning of his redshirt, it just made sense they were working him in. guess they are going to take their time.

All my relatives are graduates of Missouri/Columbia. Every time the subject of degrees come up, they turn their noses up at my degree from UNL. I immediately bring up Chicken/Porn/Meth/Fireworks/The Civil War/the Big XII and they go silent (for a time). UNL is a relatively easy school to get into (even more so in my day) but its still a fine educational institution.

Agree with SilentCommitt. Pretty easy school to get into...doesn't take anything away from a degree from UNL.

SO THERE ARE THOSE WHOS EGOS DONT WANT TO GIVE PEOPLE A CHANCE WHEN THEY GET COLLEGE AGE. Grade inflation was rampant ; even in the Ivy league not so long ago. Parents want something for all the $'s. Doubt they have cleaned it up that much - There are national tests are graduates can ace; no matter how late a bloomer or self made individual

Facepalm....

If you're going off on an education rant, at least use proper word choice and try to sound educated.
