I've only seen him in the McD All-Star game and could see he was talented, of course, but his talent level seemed below theirs to me. What are your thoughts on how good he is, comparatively, and can he be as impactful as they were this past season ?? Can he carry a highly-ranked team ??

Meh idk about all that. We had so many high level, elite recruits under Cal. Damn shame all we got out of it was one title. Fox, Monk, Bam, KAT and Randle immediately come to mind. None were ranked #1, but their classes were much better than this class is. I have always said that Randle was the best player in that 2013 class.

I watched all three at their EYBL session a couple summers ago in Indy. Hard to take a ton away after only watching one game, but Stokes was much more impressive there than Dybantsa.Is Stokes better, worse, or about the same as Dybansta and Boozer ?? You could probably sign 5 guys that would hustle and play together as a team for less money than you would have to pay Stokes, but most of you would have a fit because they weren't so called super stars.
But a lot of people on here think they know more about basketball than Barkley.
I agree…Stokes set out to do that very thing by waiting so long to commit and I don’t blame him… he’s building his brand. He’s an undersized power forward that can lead the break and hit the occasional three… with his strength will be able to bully his way to basket on drives.
I’ve followed recruiting long enough to see players get overhyped and fans be disappointed…there’s going to be a lot of disappointed fans if they are expecting Dybantsa
Two completely different players. I'm expecting Tyran Stokes. I know what he brings. He can do that without having to discredit AJ. Both amazing players. We would want both at Kentucky. I want Stokes at UK not KU.

I wanted Caleb Holt the most out of this class, including Stokes. I got to watch him play in my area, and the kid is so nice. Too bad we couldn't get him.
Here's another thought. If Oweh was playing in that Nike game he would have dominated. He could take the ball to the hoop without losing it like all of them including Stokes did. He could shoot the ball as well. Now of course you will say yeah but Oweh is an experienced college senior and not a High School player. But, isn't that the point of the portal?
