Apparently, Jim said he would no longer use the phrase Wrap it in Maroon and White to seal the victory. Is this a tradition you would like to continue or like Jack, be retired??

I think it's a very cool way to close out an MSU victory, and I think it's something that would be nice to keep around. However, I can certainly understand his reasoning not wanting to use it. I'm sure he wants to create his own identity, but I think he doesn't want to encroach on something Jack made famous and wants to leave that as being Jack's phrase and his phrase only. As long as Jim doesn't do anything crazy and makes his own identity with somethng simple and straightforward, I think hewill do fine.

It's become a tradition and part of MSU athletics. Much like the Cowbell, and how it became a tradition and part of MSU athletics. Jack will be an Icon of MSU athletics forever and every future Bulldog fan will know of his contributions so why not keep it? As long as he said it in a fashion similar to this "And as the legend Jack Cristil would say, You can wrap this one in maroon and white". I don't see anything wrong with it but to each his own. He could develop his own little twist after that but it's whatever he wants to say.

I just hope we give him a lot more opportunities to come up with his own phrase for W's, since we have been lacking in that category the past decade.

<div>If Jim wants to do his own thing I’m sure it would grow on me, but I was
personally hoping that he would continue that Jack “Wrap It” call. Although the
circumstances are different, I know a lot of Auburn fans that appreciate that
Bramblett continued Jim Fyffe’s “Touchdown Auburn!” call.</div>

I'd like to see it continued, but if Jim doesn't want to do it because he didn't coin the phrase, I would understand.

Regardless of whether it continues on radio, I think it would be cool if we blasted high quality recording of a classic Jack "wrap it" through the moo tube after every W. Do it right right after the clock strikes zero, then go into the normal post game music, etc.

However, I think it would be different if Jim hadn't been right by Jack for so many years. In other words, if a new guy came in, I think it would lose the feel. BUT, I think Jim has earned the right to help us all celebrate and remember Jack at the same time.
