Stone Bridge has won at least one playoff game in eighteen consecutive years. Note that that’s actual calendar years, not playoff appearances. I have to think that’s a record for Virginia. I checked some other programs that have had lots of playoff success - Hampton, Phoebus, Powell Valley, Giles, Hylton, the Salem Spartans. The closest to Stone Bridge was Phoebus, with playoff wins in thirteen consecutive years. None of the others reached double digits, with Salem and Hampton both having streaks of eight years.
I admire the Bulldogs’ program, but I’m not really a fan, per se. I just thought eighteen years in a row of at least one playoff win is an accomplishment that shouldn’t go unnoted. And in fourteen of those eighteen years, Stone Bridge won more than one playoff game.
