He's getting to play WR there....curious as to how good he'll be in their offense. He's got a chance to thrive in it

Gonna be rollin' the hood with Ja.
I’m glad that Ja will have someone to kill time with because he sure isn’t spending much time actually playing for the Grizzlies

He’s missed half the season with minor injuries, and he’s been out for the last week with a bruise

football: Has there been one Starkville kid, that played for State and ended up being a star, even multiple year starter?

defensively I can think of Baron Simpson. Offensively I'm drawing a blank. I'm sure defensively I'm missing some.

Good questions. And the best one went to OM. Not a star, but did Tee Millons start for multiple years? What's wild is how little consistency we got from Kobe. Seemed like all we got were flashes over the course of a few years.

He won't because he's not a WR. I predict that he'll finally get the message and move to defense at some point.

Gay and Jones are good answers. Thanks.

To the other poster: Freddie Milons was an offensive star at Alabama. Tee played sparingly at State.

Kameron Jones was a multiple year starter on the O line under Leach. At receiver Will Prosser was limited by Croom offense and injuries but also started a few years

Fact.

But I’m so old that I remember a time when MSU couldn’t punt more than fifteen yards.**
You're supposed to be a fact checker.

We've historically had good punters for the most part because we've needed them. There were some duds in there but there've been some really good ones too.

There have been some Croom and Jackie years where the punter was the team MVP

I may need a hard reset but my data shows an Australian punter prior to Pulliam that lead to numerous less than stellar punts.

Never forget all the hype and potential he had out of HS. Only to have glimpses of greatness here and there at State. .... mostly because of injury. But.... he never lived up to the hype.
Saying that he never lived up to the hype when his knee was completely blown out by a cheap shot is a bs take.

I remember he had a serious injury but don't remember at what point exactly. Seems it was early in his college career. Obviously I don't remember the exact play.

Remind us please?

I remember people around the GTR made him out to be the next Bo or Hershel. I recall he had a good game v TN in 90. Maybe in 90 too, he ran it down auburns throat and that should have won the game. Other than that, he played every season of 4 and never had more than 251 yards rushing in a season.

I saw him in Columbus around 91 or so. He was preparing for the nfl draft. He was a mountain of a man.

David Fair could have been a poor man's Herschel Walker or Bo Jackson. He was just a beast. He was fast & powerful. He was injured in the 2nd or 3rd game of his freshman year. His injury is one of the greatest "what if's" in MSU history.

David Fair tore up his knee at Scott Field on a run into the sideline vs. Louisiana Tech. It was Week 3 of the 1987 season. I'm pretty sure David had to sit out the 1986 season under the Prop 48 academic restrictions of that era. Had a long TD run vs. Tennessee in Week 2 that was Herschel/Bo-like. I think he had a late TD run vs. Auburn in 1990 that would tied the game if AU had not blocked our PAT attempt.
