I let mine go under joker & thought it may be time to renew at the beginning of the yr but glad I didn't. Will we see the empty seats & then Barney use his "microwave" comments again? I think if changes aren't made & same type performances to start the yr, he then becomes the second coming of joker & completely loses the entire fan base.
He was not lead recruiter on all those Ohio OL, he recruited them with lead recruiter Marrow. He recruited Stallings with N. Brown so no he is not the lead recruiter on all those OL, he is along with primary recruiter because of position he coaches just like the other guys on staff. Ansley recruits DB's in Ohio recruits with Marrow etc..

That OL is not Sun Belt average. They are terrible from LT to RT, they have some young guys that will be ok, the true frosh is going to be player. These stud guys he signed the first class until this past class are not good. None have panned out.
I have talked to guys who coached there and some who coached the OL and they say John is excellent coach but his unit is not being helped out, we needed flares to Running backs, we needed WR's screens. We need to do more to help out this OL.
I will say that none that I have spoken with are giving favorable marks to Dawson. Play calling too predictable, too many 3rd and long, in fact was mentioned that UK is at bottom of having more 3rd and long more than 5+ yards, is that OL coach or is that a piss poor plan and putting your team in a terrible spot.
Dawson is running veer air raid, he has two slow QB's, he is running routes 15-20 yards down field, he needs to do like Hal and most Air Raid offenses, run the flares to backs, draws, Isolations with spread formations, get your guys on LB's and safeties. Dawson is trying to run the read option/veer, throwing 20 yard posts, and deep curls. That is why it's not OL fault. We run first play or throw incomplete pass, run for nothing, 3rd and 9. Yeah our OL coach is at fault, this is a scheme problem that Dawson who by the way has never called plays before this year. He is at fault.
