Few things get more dissected and over analyzed every year than the latest National Champion in men's College Basketball. People will analyze the coach, the quality of his players, their recruiting rankings, the refs, who they played in the dance, their seed, their style of play, whether the current Champion has shown everyone the "key" to winning it all (ie seniors vs OAD) etc. etc.
Bottom line. Wright recruited those players, he molded those players, he determined a style of play for those players, he was responsible for the combinations of players on the court at critical times with his subbing, he called the timeouts, he set up plays, etc.
Jay hasn't uncovered a secret to winning it all. I'll still take the way that Kentucky and Duke can reload as I think it produces more title contenders faster than having a group of kids who stick around several years, however Jay is a very good coach, Villanova is a solid program and now they join a select list of teams to have won at least 2 NCAA Championships. (remember, over 300+ division 1 schools competing so it's still going to be a relatively small list of those with more than 1 NCAA crown.)
Jay winning it is kind of similar maybe to Gary Williams in 2002. You know a good coach and solid program had won the title but you aren't penciling them in necessarily for another one any time soon.
