but I wish we had more people like Glen Young were actually on our coaching staff. He is the anti-Tony Robertson.
But I'll also say this- I don't think that the reason we're bad is because of effort from the players for the most part. For example, Quentin Saulsberry sucks ***, but he's trying. Effort will only get you so far- and I expect our players to play hard regardless, it's something that shoud be a given, and not something that they should be patted on the back for, but talent and coaching have to come into the equation at some point.
So, I could understand a player getting pissed off at someone saying that they don't give a **** anymore.
Now, that said the problem is clearly a coaching/recruiting issue. We have poor play calling, and we have done a poor job at developing our players. And despite the complexity of our offense, we should have more than 10 plays that we can run- heck, you can easily run 10 out of the Wildcat. Yes, we have done a poor job of recruiting- in particular on offense and ST, but you can somewhat mask that with some good coaching.
Our players deserve better than what Croom is giving them.
