Clarke County and Strasburg strongly dislike each other and usually have tough games even when one program is having a down year. I was surprised that Strasburg lost last week and will be interested to see how they come out Friday night. If Clarke has their running game clicking they will be hard to beat. Clarke 27 Strasburg 13

Clarke wins by two scores minimum if they play their "A" game, but being a rivalry game, Strasburg could just as easily pull out a close victory.

I was not surprised that Strasburg lost to Mason since Mason got their stud RB back on the field. However I was surprised that they were shut out.

Clarke gave up some points to a very mediocre William Monroe team. Maybe they were looking ahead?

The Northern Virginia Daily reported that Strasburg had three players quit before last weeks game. I do not know if that effected the game or not. How is William Monroe winless with the size and speed they possess? Clarke had one td erased for holding, they had a pass picked off in the end zone and had two blindsided quarterback fumbles in their own territory. Clarke had way to many penalties but it may have also been the worst refereed game I have ever seen.

After getting shutout by Mason, Clarke should coast against the Rams. The three players that quit, were they starters? I seriously thought last week's score was a typo and sought two other sources to verify it.

Article was wrong two starting lineman quit and the starting nose guard was dismissed from the team. It is a sad situation at strasburg right now and it starts at the top of the team. I am not going into details simply because the school is looking into misconduct by the coach

Hate to hear that. Always look forward to this game, great rivalry!

I still hold out hope for a good game. After all that went down last week , the boys just had no motivation to play. They have lost all trust in the staff. This week though is Clarke vs Strasburg if they can't get amped for this game then there is a problem. I hope strasburg wins as I am a Ram but my gut tells me Clarke 28- Strasburg 20

Clarke wins 27-0. Should have been more, but credit the Strasburg defense. Not many penalties in the game and the rain stayed away!

Strasburg has an aggressive defense that played well tonight. Poor blocking and suspect play calling inside the 20 cost Clarke several scores.

If Clarke's D-line plays like they did tonight and if that gigantic O-line stays healthy watch out for Clarke come playoff time. This is the most aggressive and diciplined clarke defense I have seen in the last 5-6 years in my opinion. You better have some beef upfront if you want to run against them.

Hear that almost every year for the last 10 or so. Seems that fast, athletic teams give them fits come playoff time. Hopefully for Clarke, this year will be different. But history isn't on their side.

Fast athletic teams give all teams fits. A team's players either have that type of speed or they don't, nothing you can do about it. Clarke County knows it limitations in that regard and has managed to play well in the playoffs past two years.

I guess your definition or doing well in the playoffs and mine are vastly different. And not all teams ..never mind, GOOD LUCK with that...

Probably, but I'm guessing there are several teams in the Bull Run that would have enjoyed experiencing the last few years Clarke has had.

Clarke County record the past two and a half years 31-3. It sure makes for a greater Friday night experience than the rest of the Bull Run enjoys. Trust me our fans are more critical on the team than anyone on this message board could be. I guess winning by a average of four scores causes higher expectations.

Yep...regular season success builds high expectations. Just as post season flops increase disappointment. But you are right; Friday nights are more fun when you win. Winning on Saturdays is even more fun.

Good luck to CC and if your bitter about their success it's probably because you can't beat them. Would love to see Coach Parker get a ring and BE HONEST.......every year they have a chance. That is the sign of a VERY good program.
