His statement basically says that he wants to find a coach that is not willing to "cross the line" if you know what I mean. Which will make winning tough in Starkville.

for the job. I'd imagine that with Pollard dropping us from his list, he had emails and tweets coming left and right about it and he felt it best to make a statement to try and calm us down. I know I tweeted him the tweet about Devonta and said we need a coach! I trust him but damn that patience he's asknig for is wearing really thin. I just need to ban myself from Twitter and here so I can't get worked up about the next potential coach or the next player leaving until he makes a decision. But, that ain't gonna happen!

And if you think I'm the only one that did so, you are kidding yourself. Mine was a very respectful tweet. Scott has always been and hopefully always will be accessable to us either thru social media or email, and me sending him a tweet as an MSU fan is part of that. I'm sure the reason for his tweet today was in response to mine and probably a couple hundred more very similar to mine. And I appreciate him doing that. He hasn't spoken publicly about the search(which I totally agree with) and this tweet was to let all those know that he's doing his job.

I know it's expected, but this **** is getting ridiculous... I've been coming to the board less after Stansbury stepped down. I'm not even going to talk **** about Scott unless I'm absolutely displeased with the hiring, and even then I'll probably keep my displeasure to a minimum until I see the fruits on the court. Obviously though... not everyone can remain calm for prolonged periods of time.

you tweeted a current AD in the middle of a basketball search, that a 17-18 yo kid said he named a 4 that didn't have our school in it ...REALLY
then you come on a messageboard and say you did it, and you think that is part of his job is to read your tweet and hire a coach now because you are scared to lose a recruit ...REALLY!
Then you think he sends out a statement because of your dubmass tweet ...REALLY

WT17! ...is this world coming to!

the AD right now, in what is one of the more pressured situations that ADs have to endure, to leave him the hell alone on twitter.

I want to qualify something too. I absolutely don't agree with anyone who thinks that Twitter or Facebook connections with people like ADs, players, etc. means you should respond to them very often. I follow people those people on Twitter to get information from them. I never provide any of my own back to them. It is just a pet peeve of mine and I agree it may make me old fashioned or conservative. But, I look at the information coming from them just like it is a press release or a poston MSU'swebsite; one way communication.

Now some dude in Edinbourough follows me. I am a twitter master.

What I have just posted is about as relevant to this board as that dude's tweet to Sticklin was.

of one of the Devonta Pollard ones. I actually like the fact that Scott has kept this as much under lock and key as he possibly can. I also like the fact that he responded when he thought he needed to to let the fans know that he was doing this his way and he would hire the right man for the job. It worked for me. I don't hardly ever send a tweet. I've had a few with Bob Carskadon and Brad Locke and they weren't even really that sports related. I normally just read it like a presser like you. I also sent Scott a tweet thanking him for responding to try to ease our minds about all this. I am by no means a tweeter. I have like 250 tweets over like 4 or 5years and most of those are to my actual friends. But Scott has always been accessable by email and now by Twitter and by all accounts he welcomes this. I will not become some serial tweeter to him but if I feel the need, I will fire him off one. I think this helpsmake him as good of an AD as he is. Oh, and did I say I trust him and think he will make the right hire when all is said and done?

tweets a ton. So yes, he reads a bunch of 17ing tweets a day! And yes, I'm sure he has had a ton of tweets concerning the coaching search and our current players, signees, and recruits. And yes, I basically retweeted one of the many tweets to him about Devonta removing us from his list as I'm sure several other 100 or more people did today when it was released. Do I think it's part of his job? Nope, but I think he's made it part of his job to read the fans and alumni's tweets and emails, and I think he does an admirable job of responding to us. I don't want him to hire a coach because we are gonna lose Pollard. We never officially had Pollard but we were on his list and he did remove us from it because we don't have a coach. I also know that Scott will not hire a coach just because this recruit said he would be willing to consider us again if he is hired. Scott will hire who he thinks is the right man. If it happens to be this coach, so be it. If not, fine too. And finally do I think that Scott sent the tweet today due to the emails, tweets, phone calls and whatever the 17 else kindof way imaginable that people can voice their concerns on the current coaching search? You bet your sweet *** I do. And it was time for him to make a statement to curb all the talk on all of the supposed candidates. And my one tweet to him was a part of that. If you don't like this or agree with any of the above, fine by me. This is MY opinion. You aint' got to agree with me. I can handle that.
