Don't threaten, give every student a cowbell and a chicken biscuit as they enter the student section. Free water to keep them yelling. Seriously.
Amen to that. Save of A&M running away with it, if you can't sit through a Top 15 match up of two SEC West teams, you do not deserve the opportunity.
Reward them for staying instead. Use barcode scanners on student tickets when they enter, and then again if they stay until the end of the game (or, maybe you give them a little slack, like 7:30 left in the game). Any student who has attended every game and stayed the designated amount of time gets entered into a lottery for free tuition, or a laptop, or something.

Take a page out of retail marketing and do like they do with sales where they mark down originally overpriced merchandise. Build in an extra $200 or so in the tuition. For every student who stays for every game, give them a $200 discount.
