Dang, and I thought Polk 2 got lazy on the recruiting trail
That is cool option for students. I didn't care about baseball growing up and don't think I could have physically gotten a ball out of the park on my best day in college, but I still would have tried to participate in this if it had been an option when I was a student.
Polk coming in behind the net with the rock steady heatWe got anyone that can throw enough strikes for this?
I knew things were bad trying to create a competent batting order, but damn. Open tryouts for Power Hitters?Dang, and I thought Polk 2 got lazy on the recruiting trail

If they did, the SPS donations would’ve gone to the pitcher beaning the volunteer of our choice. THAT would be the fun of it all.Too bad they don’t open this up to anyone… I’d love to see the someone like fighting Irish go take a couple swings***
Funniest part about that whole episode came from a player interview on one of the fan podcast. Player was a holder and said all these kids showed up that Sunday. None could kick but he had to hold for all of them. The interesting part, Leach never showed up for the tryout.
I think you would honestly surprise yourself. The mechanics of your swing haven't left. You can still hit a home run whether you want to believe it or not.Won't help. I'm 65. And not an AI 65.
But the bat speed is non existent. Degenerative disks on the spine, one hip replacement and one arthritic hip = no rotation power.I think you would honestly surprise yourself. The mechanics of your swing haven't left. You can still hit a home run whether you want to believe it or not.
As I was told by my aging father before he passed away, "Getting old ain't for sissys!"But the bat speed is non existent. Degenerative disks on the spine, one hip replacement and one arthritic hip = no rotation power.
