That is cool option for students. I didn't care about baseball growing up and don't think I could have physically gotten a ball out of the park on my best day in college, but I still would have tried to participate in this if it had been an option when I was a student.
We got anyone that can throw enough strikes for this?

If they did, the SPS donations would’ve gone to the pitcher beaning the volunteer of our choice. THAT would be the fun of it all.
Funniest part about that whole episode came from a player interview on one of the fan podcast. Player was a holder and said all these kids showed up that Sunday. None could kick but he had to hold for all of them. The interesting part, Leach never showed up for the tryout.

I think you would honestly surprise yourself. The mechanics of your swing haven't left. You can still hit a home run whether you want to believe it or not.
I guess this means our current lineup of batters can't hit.
But the bat speed is non existent. Degenerative disks on the spine, one hip replacement and one arthritic hip = no rotation power.

As I respond from a hospital bed to this I couldn't agree more with this statment.
Sorry to hear about that. I was rooting for you though and if those issues weren't present, I still think you could hit one.
