That is cool option for students. I didn't care about baseball growing up and don't think I could have physically gotten a ball out of the park on my best day in college, but I still would have tried to participate in this if it had been an option when I was a student.
They would have referred to me as "the fan" because of the breeze the misses would make

watching Bruce hit those fly balls that just kept going-was a blessing back in the day.

I think you would honestly surprise yourself. The mechanics of your swing haven't left. You can still hit a home run whether you want to believe it or not.
But the bat speed is non existent. Degenerative disks on the spine, one hip replacement and one arthritic hip = no rotation power.

Sorry to hear about that. I was rooting for you though and if those issues weren't present, I still think you could hit one.
