Here here. They did a good job sticking around. Just need to slow down the maroon-white-fight-fight-fight.

Am I missing the sarcasterisks? I really don't care if they or anyone else stays or leaves early, but the student section was 90% empty when the 3rd quarter ended. It was full and loud early, but cleared out in a hurry once the game was in hand.

Inaccurate. 25% empty, MAX, at that point. The only portion that had significant vacancies was the section and change on the east side, next to and above the band. Those sections didn't fill up to begin with.

It wasn't 90% empty with 6 minutes left in the game (getting a lot closer at that point though, but full-price ticket holders were sparse by then too).

Anyone who looked at that and saw 90% empty has an agenda.

What dickiedawg said. I have been a consistent student section critic. It was still pretty well occupied in the 3rd. I made a point of looking.

You know what, 17 anything that anybody says about the students. I sat in the West for the first time in many years and I hated it. When southern was pinned on their 5 on a 3rd down, maybe 10% of the fans stood up. I guess at 38, I belong in the student section, on the top row of a section, or in the stands at 10 other SEC stadiums where 3/4 of the fans don't sit on their hands. It honestly infuriates me how much our fans expect excellence yet are less than mediocre themselves.
