Dirty foul to begin with. Dont blame ML. Boston was playing dirty all night.
Boston guy shouldn't have grabbed Lee's wrist and hung onto it but it was a massive overreaction by Lee. Uncalled for and completely counter to the type of guy he's shown to be over the last couple of years.
dirtbag move by the boston player. marcus beat him...boston player made a cheap hard foul play. not a basketball play, just chop down. then of course another boston player pushes him in the back.
Screw that ... I was proud as hell to see Marcus get fired up. Dude should want to murder people, not smile at them. I wish he'd start punching dudes in the pre-game.
Dude was holding on to ML's wrist, ML showed him who's boss. We won that foul shooting exchange 3-2.
Also got the ball out of bounds and scored. Better outcome than Lee going to the line for 2 shots. I'll take it.
Come on man. You don't want our guys to be sissies do you? I love the aggression. We need that **** man. We don't need a bunch of choir boys out there. We need guys who had rather kill somebody than to lose. We want guys who don't back down. I thought it was awesome. As long as it don't cause us to lose or the player to be suspended or something I love seeing stuff like that. I'm also a redneck though lol. So OP we may disagree.

I actually wanna see some more of that from Lee, and I wouldn't mind seeing Skal show a little more emotion. They're way too soft right now.

I can't understand how anyone could label the initial foul dirty. A swipe down toward the ball. Good, hard foul to prevent a layup. That's basketball.
Lee can be hotheaded at times. He's fiery, has been since day one. Always chirping out on the court, very reactionary. That's not a bad thing.

Lee a hothead? Bruce Lee? Not sure what game or player you have been watching. It was not the "swipe down toward the ball", It was the holding Lee's arm after the swipe for a second or two. May be worth you watching a replay. I'd have ripped my arm away and pushed him off too.

1. Lee was shoved in the back twice. How could you guys not catch it the 30 times it replayed or even when it first happened? shouldn't that of been two technicals on the one guy?

I missed the rule change that allows a player to grab an opponent's arm and hold on.
I just don't get the outrage over the foul. There was nothing dangerous about it. There was no potential for injury. There was no real malice. Sure, he held the arm to prevent the bucket. But holding is a specific foul call. And it was called.
Certainly didn't warrant a stupid two-handed shove to the chest (though the pushee certainly flopped to sell it).

I see your side but I see my side as well. Anyone holding onto anyone for more than a split second is a violation of space. That in itself warrants retaliation. You may think someone holding you for a few seconds is okay. I think blocking a shot is fine but when I am breaking away from you and you are still holding onto me something is going to give. As long as I am breathing I will stop you or die trying. No one is going to hold me against my will unless I am imprisoned. It went too far which I am guessing you are saying it didn't go that far. We can disagree and still be on the same team. (I'd have got a technical, you wouldn't.)[winking]
That kid for Boston caused things to get chippy in last year's game too.
Last night he was trying to mix it up with Poythress and a few other players throughout the game. Minor stuff, but he was clearly trying to get under someone's skin. His foul wasn't a big deal but he seemed to make it a point on a few fouls to wind up his arm and hammer his hand as hard as possible on someone's wrist. Fair enough, but he held on a little too long when he fouled Lee, and he got shoved because of it. He got shoved, though he still flopped a bit. Not a big deal and it's silly to give Lee a hard time over it. The kid from Boston wanted to be a pest and play a certain way. You risk retaliation and getting thrown to the ground and looking like a chump, and that happened.
P.S. Why is it most of the Boston team had the "Hipster" haircuts going on?

I honestly wouldn't have cared if he threw a fist. But then again, I didn't have much of a problem with 2004's Malice in the Palace debacle. Sometimes, people, or groups of people need to be put back into place. No one's above it all. Including fans who think they can hurl things at players with impunity, and smaller teams who think they can throw shots at us all game because the officials feel bad for them.
Oh well.
