So to keep the integrity of the bowl the NCAA wrecked their integrity even more. At what point do schools start taking the NCAA to court over these unequal punishments? A.J. Green would like to know.

that it ever had. 15 years ago Cam Newton would not have finished the season had all this come out. The Ohio State players would have lost eligibility and not played in the Sugar Bowl or next year at all probably.

It's never been filled with much integrity, but now it's just ridiculous. Ticket sales used to really matter to bowl games, now it's about sponsors and commercials. Who will be the prettiest match-up for TV? Thats what is important. The NCAA will only do something to do the cash cows when backed into a corner and no other way around it (as in USC and Bush)

and that's probably the biggest draw for a playoff, just fairness. Bowls would work out just fine if they were just fair. The key here is to find a way to make a playoff more lucrative than the bowls. If that can be done, the bowls will be history.

Not sure what that means for the MSUs of the world. Bowls are probably better for the little guys, but is that really fair in the big scheme of things?</p>

It's great to see the commish take time away from his logo design & stellar marketing campaign long enough to lobby the f'ing NCAA so his mighty conference wouldn't get skulldrug once aGAIN by an SEC team on a national stage. The NCAA and its leadership/conference commissioners/bowl committee members continue to amaze and sicken me.

/thinking about Mark May's previous comments: If this had been Mallet and other Hog players, would Slive have said or done **** about it???

This should have been a "private" investigation into the EBay junkies by the NCAA. Then, the NCAA should have suspended them and the Sugar Bowl CEO should have found out at the same time as the rest of us. Is he a investigator? What gives him the privilege to beg like a ***** over anyone else?

There is one simple answer...MONEY.

The man always gets what he wants. and that is why there will be no Playoffs as long as he lives.

NCAA should of said they were suspended for the game..and if the Sugar Bowl and OSU still wanted the integrity of the game.. play them and forfeit it afterwords for playing an ineligible player.
But the NCAA won't make them do it.

If the tattoo/memorabilia stuff at tOSU came to light before the announcement of the Bowl games, Michigan State plays Ark instead of tOSU.<div>
</div><div>I still say, SELL. Jim Delany would eat Buckeye turd off of a silver plate. tOSU and B1G10(+1, +2 or is it.. ****, nevermind) should never talk about other schools and conferences after Maurice Clarett and the tattoo-gate.</div>

Failed Marriage and Family in the fall semester after the 2000 regular season. Ruled ineligible for the bowl game. Not sure if that was the NCAA or MSU. Guess nobody was worried about the "integrity"of the Independence Bowl that year.

its about control and power. If it were about money, they would go to a playoff b/c the Big Ten and SEC would make a ton more money.

The only real integrity in college football is the game itself. The fact that AJ Green had a 4 game suspension and these guys get 5 is a joke. 17 the NCAA and their integrity act.

I am not sure. The OSU players just made me remember Smoot. Maybe the similarities end there.
