Didn't Richard try to spring a vote on the issue at a BoA meeting without first alerting everyone not long after he was originally elected? I've always been under the impression that he was for it. He had better be if he has any desire to run again in that Ward.
Richard the swing vote? A little out of the loop? Richard has been the one trying to get Sunday for the past 4 years. He messed up the 1st time he tried bringing the issue up by doing what was said in the above post. Not really talking about it. Carver is the one that will swing anything.
They say that Richard Cory owns one half of this whole town, with political connections to spread his wealth around.
Born into society, a banker's only child, he had everything a man could want: power, grace, and style. I work in his factory.
A good friend of mine, a male like myself, was constantly hit on by Mr. Corey not terribly long after we first arrived on campus in 1999, as was hit on for several months until my friend asked him to go away. This was long before he had political aspirations or made them known. I'm not saying he is gay (or was), but he damn sure acted like it.
He has been for it for a long time. He is in my ward and lives down the street from me. This guy told me himself that he would vote for it. There are 4 alderman that are FOR SUNDAY SALES. 4
If you can count right, you would know that 4 of 7 will get us beer on Sunday. No swing vote will be needed. This will pass soon, and people will forget about it by next year. Just like cold beer in Starkville.
He was never against is anyway so how is he the Swing vote? If he was the swing vote then he would be in the middle on the issue and might vote either way. That would tip the vote one way of the other. This is not the case CB9.
