I thought it was pretty clear that he could play. He was a bit raw, but he had good touch with the ball, and could shoot from a decent distance. He was also a pretty good weakside rebounder. With Sidney's conditioning problem, Osby could have been a solid contributor when we move Moultrie to the 5. Having him at the 5and putting Osby at the 4 would have given us a very atletic lineup on the court.

Romero did what every transfer that has left us in the last 10 years tried to do... play for a meaningful program that doesn't look like a pickup streetball team. Quite frankly, I don't blame him. Look where we are now... all this talent and nothing to show for it... 19+ minutes of a game with 3 baskets and a **** ton of turnovers. <div>
</div><div>But hey... we are winning the foul battle. </div>

They were a force to be reckoned with in the big sky winning 9 games last year and an rpi over 300.

Is that the same "meaningful" program that just got slapped with another 3 years of probation?

at that "meaningful" program. Those "apologists" who say he could not play are full of it.

as if anybody needed anything else to point out the obvious...what difference would it make if Osby were still here? what difference would it make if euro dude had gotten a fair shake?

not one bit of 17ing difference because we don't have anybody in charge that knows how to coach...

I just hope Strickland sees the obvious and does what is needed.... I feel bad because Stans is a Bullie and wants to do well and wants what is best for our hoops program.... I hate seeing a guy getting the boot whose given us the only SEC championships I can remember in recent times... but he just doesn't know how to develop and get even 1/2 out of his player's abilities...

even if the new guy isn't quite the recruiter... I'm ready to see 100% effort from players who will spill it all for the head guy....a coach who demands, expects and receives total respect and effort...

all of those guys went all conference and were drafted first round right

Just so we're clear I'm far from a stans apologist.

i'm not a stans apologist, but which transfers went on to be studs? for the most part, if they've transferred to another big conference program, they've been even worse statistically than they were at msu. a few have put up decent numbers, but playing for low level D1 programs against weak conference competition and with inferior teammates who defaulted to him as the primary playmaker.
