I guess its time to go to Central and watch Gap give them there first loss !
Not so sure about the weather being a factor for this game and every other one played Friday night. Every forecast I see seems to lower the temperature a degree or two. I don't think there will be any precipitation but the temps will be cold with a capital C. That could lead to some turnovers and of course the fans will suffer as well. But overall we have been lucky this fall so we are overdue for some real football weather.
I have seen Sussex play several times. The Tigers are a scrappy bunch averaging 29 points a game and giving up 18 (MOV of +9). They are 6-4 with their losses coming to playoff qualifiers Class 1 Essex, Class 3 Southampton, and Class 2 teams Brunswick and Greensville. The Tigers quarterback Birchett will keep you honest with medium range passes, but their bread and butter is the running game. Cropper, Dubique, Walters, and Birchett share the carries. Dubique is a load to bring down. The Tigers saving grace could be the weather, but Riverheads has too much depth and talent. I don't suspect this game will be close. Sussex has more talent than you think , I said a few weeks back MY TIGERS could be this years Cinderella , a few years back I remember Coach Jefferson taking a 6-4 team to the playoffs and advancing to the State Title game . If any coach in State can pull this game off my bets all going to Coach Jefferson . This group of Tigers are much better than the record indicates . We will arrive in Greenville ready for a fight !!
From the little bit of video I have seen of them, the offense will make you play honest and the defense brings sledgehammers to hit. Should be an interesting matchup with both wanting to impose their will. IMO it will be close early unless the fumble bug hits either team. I look for Riverheads depth to help put a little distant in the second half but wouldn’t be too surprised if it was snug for most of the game.

He is looking for you XCROSS, he may come over to the red side and meet a couple of VA prep members, cost is 8 bucks for Fridays game and tickets will be sold at the gate only, and gates open at 5
A few of us met u a few years back, so maybe we can meet up again with a few other VA prep members, and u never know but I doubt it, Greenville,s hide and seek champion may show up, u know who you are but we do not
Not a single person cares who Xcross is. Or about goofy tractor jokes, or about “Jer” wanting to eat at Armstrong’s in Verona before the game with him.
What time will you and Jer be at the gate ? I would like to catch up with you before you climb those bleachers ? Cold weather may hamper an early gate for me ?
I for one disagree with this statement. in today's times I think it's kind of cool that these guys are wanting to meet and associate a name with the face of the people they correspond with on a week to week or day to day basis on this message board. it's interesting to meet the people that you have conversations with and to meet people from all walks of life. growing up where these guys are from I have a feeling I've seen "Jer" and Bama at the games before and I have a suspicion of who longtimer may be. If my suspicions are correct, I've known him quite a long time.

Totally agree , I met a few guys 2 years ago they are great people , i also talked with Coach Casto at the time , Riverheads folks are top notch.
I think it was me and fence patrol 2 years ago, I just like to talk football, and to get on here and dish it out with xcross
Sorry, that “who is Xcross” shtick just wears kinda thin for me. I certainly am not against folks meeting up. Wouldn’t think that needed clarifying. This particular bit from Bama & Xcross just annoys me. I should have kept my thoughts to myself. Sorry for that.
They're good guys man got to meet up at the GW vs RH game a few years back.
