From my perspective….and I’m a seasoned SMC expert now…due to Pick ‘em every week…..there ain’t anybody on planet earth knows who is gonna win this game!
If Swain shows up they could give Robbinsville a tough game but who knows where they're at mentally after Friday night. Maybe they'll use the loss as fuel or maybe they'll lay down like they did after the Murphy loss 2 years ago when they no showed at Big Oaks.
I am going with Rville by 10. They got one of the best kickers I have seen for the 1a level. If they get inside that 40-45 yard field goal range, Robbinsville usually gets points. Just ask Murphy.
I truly think that was the worst beatdown I have ever saw Robbinsville put on a team and I've been around awhile
When it was clear Sain couldn't go I think that totally took the wind out of their sails, they were already physically beaten up and mentally wounded after that war with Murphy and I think the Sain injury was just the straw that broke the camel's back, as he was pretty much their whole offense that year. They knew they had no shot without him and you could tell by their body language before kickoff they were already beat. Robbinsville would've won regardless but I've got to imagine that was one of the most embarrassing displays in the history of Swain County football, just completely laid down.
