What happens if we have Barnett and Hobbs and Tenn has Fyfe and Dzuris? Nothing against either guy, but we were so far out classed at those two spots.

How does this game look with that change?

We win. Not rocket science that all it takes is a few All American game changers like a Suh or a great QB to take your team to a different level. Only problem is Callahan left Bo with a Suh, Crick, Prince, etc and many other NFL players and Bo left Riley with .....well...you get the point.

Sorry man I watched 2006 thru 2007 religously

Obviously you didn't. Suh was a freshmen all conference player while Amukamara was clearly a defensive player since ya know, he played defense his freshmen year before Pelini was coach.

It's the coaching. Not the players.

Keep telling yourself that, Mr. round peg and square hole.

Yes he made the all big 12 freshmen team...that's not hard to do as long as you play as a freshmen.lol..

What did he parlay that into the next year. Garbage.

Yeah you keep thinking we should be barely beating Purdue and Illinois. When the same players ran those teams over the year before....lol.ok.

Your original response is now gone. You said Suh was a fat slob when Pelini took over, that's a false statement.

He parlayed it in to an average season.

Never said that, not once.

No we didn't. This is the same thing you had with Pelini. 9-4 with blowout losses, you should be happy. Maybe if MR would piss his pants a little more.

We still lose. Our defense was horrible. If Tennessee didn't keep making mistakes offensively they put up 50 plus. Banker is poor against spread run and pass teams with any pulse. Our O-line is a joke. Cav hasn't showed much positive in his favor. The Vols run defense was garbage and we couldn't break a 100 yards even. Vandy went for about 200 on them recently. Mizzou went for over 400. There is a pretty good list of teams who aren't very good who ran it all day on them and we couldn't do anything.

Our linebackers still miss a hundred tackles and our DBs still play 20 yards off of their receivers.

It is definitely a combo of player ability and coaching. I think these coaches get the right message (besides they are to mellow and dont get that fiery attitude) in practice but the llay calling offensively in games can be horrid at best. They seen the massive pressure by UT. Line up in a 2 TE set on the next series and do a mixture of power football with some play action. I give credit to Fyfe for not freaking out on the o-line.

We still lose. Barnet wasn't the only person making plays on the Vols defense and he isn't going to change the way our linebackers looked absolutely clueless and got burned non-stop and gave up 500+ yards. He isn't going to change the fact we only got 61 yards rushing.
And if we had Dobbs, he would have been running for his life and getting bottled up instead of running through our tissue paper defense.

If Croom and Kamara catch a couple of those balls on quick slants instead of dropping them, Tennessee puts up 21 more points.

In no way, shape, or form is the difference between us being good and bad, just 1 or 2 players. It's a lot of players and a bunch of coaches.
