I have a full Masters of Theology (~120 hours) from an Evangelical Seminary, whereas Talarico is going to a Seminary of the Mainline Tradition- he got his MaTS, and is working on his Masters of Divinity. A MaTS is around 60 hours of course work and an MDIV is around 120 hours of course work. His different interpretations fit the current narrative, no one in 20 centuries have ever had those interpretations. I’m sure he’s well versed in the apostolic fathers… I understand you may be a fan and it hurts you to hear things about someone in your political sphere, that’s why believing in any politician is ridiculous. Jesus is the only way.
My masters took me 4 years, or 15 hours a semester at an EVANGELICAL Seminary. Talarico, while going to a Mainline Protestant Seminary, will be in school for around 6-8 years (or another 2-3 since he already has his MaTS) at minimum, and thats IF he doesn't get his PHD. He probably will.
You really don't know what you're talking about. Abortion, gender, etc. has been studied for Centuries, with little firm conclusions in the Worldwide or historic Church. The Puritans, in the 18th and 19th Century in America, had a very strict and narrow view on those things, which won out in America and Evangelicalism. Alleging that your Evangelical interpretation is the "Christian interpretation for 20 Centuries" is asinine, as well as ignorant. These thing have been debated, argued, and fought for a Millenia, with little to no conclusions in any forum or asembly in the Early Church or in the Middle Age Church either.
Drawing hard lines and making things binary in Theological terms, especially in terms of abortion or gender is based on a Puritan Ideological Interpretation, not a historic Christian one.
You seem to think you know what you're talking about here- but you're barely even on the level of most of the "theo bros" that I've come across. Even the most Reformed Evangelical Scholars I know say that God is non-binary, and is a Spirit (as they literally have to, check the Westminster Confession, which they have to be lock step with to be ordained), but presents to Humans as Male/Father. Which indeed means God is non-binary and a Spirit, not Male.
I'd be happy to educate you more, but you really seem to just want to repeat Evangelical talking points, while criticizing "megachurch Pastors politicizing the Gospel" and calling Mainline Seminarians with actual Theology degrees "the antichrist."
