..your article kept calling us "Mississippi."

We are not Mississippi.

Mississippi is in Oxford, & participating in the Texas A&M regional.

If you are going to write an article about us, at least try not to appear this ignorant.

Don't take it personal. You may have made a tournament called the DDDY though.

And you didn't mention Rally Jenny. If she is at Howser, we win.

I didn't write the article, so not sure why I'm being attacked. I can understand you guys being upset about the name flubs as I would too be upset if FSU was called Florida. But look at the info presented. It's quite good.

If its not littered with inaccuracies, its good info.

Did you guys know that we can't hit for ****, but we have a deep postseason-made pitching staff? No? Neither did I.

I like the way my FSU friend put it.

"We have a chance to beat you 3-2. But if you find your bats in Tallahassee, we are toast. Great pitching shuts down good hitting."

And its the same way for us - if we give up 5 runs, we're probably done.

My apologies for the name mix ups, they have been edited. I like your site and your honesty, other than the minor errors what do you think about the perception of your team.

...but when you call us by our rivals name, get the names of our players wrong, get the name of this website wrong, etc. after that, we're pretty much dealing with a lost cause.

Consider more an initiation. In fact, you've been pretty well received compared to the other schools fans that periodically pop in.

I don't think you did the abject shittiness of our hitting ability justice, however. The use of profanity in describing this bunch's approach to hitting is an absolute necessity. The sheer depth of shitasticness that masquerades as MState at bats has Stephen Hawking scratching his *** in wonder.

I did notice they did their homework on Wes Rea though, .....dude can't hit a curveball, but can mash the ^&(! out of a fastball......paraphrased....

well, that is when he connects with said fastball, it is just slightly above his average of connects with that curveball.....

We have Adam Frazier, walks, hit batsmen, and opposing errors as our only means of scoring runs.....just imagine, if we had 6-7 Adam Fraziers with this pitching staff, hell, FSU, Samford, and UAB would have just forfeited the whole regional without playing a game....

but again.....****** bats...

Somehow we have been blessed with a ton of great arms this season. Our team ERA, especially the past month and a half has been absurdly good. Never seen anything like it good. And that is from every single pitcher.

Our hitting stats are something absurd in themself. We lead the league in walks, hbp, and sac bunts*. Yet for our "small-ball" club we also lead the league in strikeouts and its not even close. At 420 K's we are 23 clear of 2nd place Vandy. Don't expect to see much action on the basepaths either, we abide by "thou shalt not steal" devoutly. Well, that is unless we do something goofy like a double steal involving Wes Rea (280 lbs) or some other whim that Cohen comes up with for our offense every now and then. If our leadoff man gets on, we are bunting, don't doubt me.

Combine a team with no power and a ton of K's and you see an anemic lifeless offense like ours. Thank sweet baby Jesus for Frazier who is hitting a cool .097 points higher than our next best hitter. Yet in a format like this it won't mean **** if our arms are alive which I have seen no evidence to suggest otherwise. 2-0, 3-2, 4-3 and on to Palo Alto!

I let the the author know and the author of the article made the edits. Let's now focus on the info in the article.
They're just messing with you. Although, calling us Mississippi is an egregious error; we still hang people around here for those kind of offenses (you know that's awkwardly funny.... kinda). <div>
</div><div>Thanks for writing and posting it; lot of good info in there.</div>
