Just two years ago Diaco and Lee went against each other when UConn beat Tulane in a high-scoring 7-3 ball game. Worth noting Lee's statline was 13-40, 106 yds, 1 int. Looking forward to seeing how they produce on the same team. Football season can't get here soon enough. GBR

It seems every stat line that gets brought up is horrid.

Did Georgia tech have a stellar defense that year cuz he wa la 14-30 that game with 1 TD and 1 INT.

Temple 16-29 for 95 yards and 2 INTS.

SMU 9-22 103 yards.

He must look really good in camps throwing the ball.

Guess you'll have to wait and see how good he looks with a line that can block a little... do we have that line? I sure hope so...

It'll be interesting for sure. Was it the offensive line, because he took a lot of sacks or is it the inability to get the ball out on time.

But just seeing the stat lines he doesn't seem like a Nebraska worthy guy. Lightly recruited out of high school and then average to below average stats.

We will know soon enough, but everything coming out of Lincoln is that it was the Oline at Tulane... Apparently he has a very quick release, and is extremely accurate. He has a lot of QB gurus singing his praises, including Archie Manning and another guy (forgot his name) who says Lee looks better than all the rest, including Rosen from UCLA among others. As far as his recruitment, I have no idea what the difference is between then and now. I do know when he announced he was transferring, LSU was in the mix for his services as well, so his offer list after he played a few years at Tulane did improve...

Some on our board are salivating at the reports (me included), while others are taking a wait and see approach. Is it all hype? Or will we finally have a QB that can consistently deliver the ball to his receivers? Football season can't get her fast enough...

Truth be told the hype he has is nearly impossible to match for him. He will be something in between.

But you wouldn't know what that would be, because all you did was look up stats from his Tulane days. You didn't watch any actual film, so you don't realize stats don't tell the whole story. When Lee is on it, he's nearly unstoppable. Hopefully he's more on the off at NU.

I'll admit I'm not going to look up 2015 Tulane football games.

But I wonder if it'll be version Tommy 2.0, he will win you some games with his talent, and then have a random game throwing 3 INTs. And for a lot of slack in here Tommy only threw 8 ints last year with a supposed "bad OL."

Football season needs to start soon.

Quite possibly. But look at your above posts. You weren't wondering, you were assuming it would be so.

I think everyone forgot about the coaching he has recieved since he has been here for a year. I think thats what has changed him since Tulane...... now if you go back and see how many QB's have been drafted under Riley and Langsdorf. It's clear to see why Lee has made a hugh jump!

Danny Langadorf has developed ..... 1 QB, a 7th round pick in 2010, in his 9 years as OC at Oregon State. Mike Riley should get credit for that pick also, along with Derek Anderson in 2005, giving him 2.

For what it's worth, that manning camp scout was raving about Lee before he started playing for Tulane, too. Maybe big ten D's will be easier.

Langsdorf coached 6 starting QBs at OSU. 3 are currently on NFL teams. One was drafted and in the league for two years. One had 1 season in the NFL. the last played on some international teams and is currently a College QB coach. Riley coached Johnathon Smith as well. He is currently the offensive coordinator at Washington

Do you have any links? I cant find anything online even discussing Lee at these camps before he was at Tulane.

I wasn't assuming. I was just stating that he has thrown a lot of interceptions in live football games.
in 2015 he threw 7 ints in 276 attempts. I wouldnt consider that a lot. also he only had one game in 2015 with more that 1 int. in nearly every game in 2015 he was playing from behind often way behind with the other team knowing he had to pass. in the 3 games he wasnt playing from behind he had 7 tds and 1 int.

Lee didn't start in 2013. He went to the camp, got rave reviews, then 2014 he started for Tulane. And as you said, the alleged Goff comparisons happened before his 51.8% completion rate 2015 sophomore season. Difficult to compare for sure.
First of all, the scout mentioned in that article is not the same one that was raving about him after this most recent camp. Second of all, I wouldn't exactly call him saying Lee had a "solid camp", "raving" about him.

Listened to the interview. He's a pretty low key guy. Nothing wrong with that, just saying.

One thing that looks good, IMHO, is the marked improvement between his 2014 and 2015 seasons. Nay-sayers like to quote his Tulane career numbers and don't like to isolate 2015, in which his numbers weren't bad for a team as terrible as the Green Wave was.
