Well it’s that time again! Hoping for a great clean & safe game. Having high hopes for the guys again this year. The guys are locked in for another great season! My biggest question is the offensive line b/c of how much graduated but we usually reload. I’ll definitely be checking out the JV game Thursday also! My final score prediction will come later this week but of course I’m predicting a Tarboro victory! #RudeBoyyz

I expect Rocky Mount to be better than the previous two years. Still think Tarboro takes it. I'll go 35-14
I can definitely get behind that score. Honestly, the only lost they can have is against Tarboro imo
I’m actually right there in that same ball park. Rm really improved last year, and brought a lot back so I’m expecting them to put up a little fight
I agree with this. I think they go 9-1 rest of the year. Northern and southern lost a lot.
As of now, I don’t see them playing Friday either. The weather all messed up this week
Spoke with a parent of a RM player. Said they are feeling good about the season, and feel they should be competitive, and maybe even win all but one.
We shall see. Their highlights are on the app, and they look kind of small. One thing is for certain, we will have a much better idea next week.
This may be a bold take but I think they will have a hard time scoring on Tarboro.

I was told by someone that this may be one of the fastest defenses Tarboro has had in a while. What’s your opinion?
I thought our defense was pretty good last year. Havelock exposed some areas in our defense and after that game we played pretty good. If Tarboro is even better defensively than they were last year that's gonna be scary. The pass rush should be really good this year.

Rocky Mount has some new RB but I still think Tarboro will be to much for them. Tarboro by 14.
Good game by the JV last night. I am surprised by how BIG Rocky Mount's JV was. They had some monsters on the line.

Game 1, it was not pretty at all. Throughout the course of a season, teams have to win the ugly games too. Nothing seemed to go their way and they still found a way to win. I'll definitely take it.The last several years we have looked very determined and ready to go against Rocky Mount, yet tonight didn't feel that way. At times, it seemed they wanted it more, and played harder. We've got to get better, and I am sure we will. No need to panic yet with it being week 1, but hopefully they are able to correct a lot of their mistakes.
It’s always better to win ugly than to lose pretty. Tarboro looked uncharacteristically sloppy last night, but if they play a little cleaner, that’s probably a two-score win. Missing the jamboree clearly played a role in the lack of sharpness, but that’s something they’ll get corrected this week. Three tough games are coming up, and I expect them to be ready.
Great post! I really think missing the jamboree played a part in how they played too. That in game action is so valuable. We got the win, time to learn from those mistakes, and move on to Hunt.
