He is 17 , they take him to a SAFE place. Come on .ya she broke the law and deserves to be punished. But don’t act like this kid was molested and wil be scared for life.

This actually happened to a couple of Cincinnati bengals in training camp years ago. They were at Wilmington college at a bar .met some girls and banged em . Tje next week the girls and their parents filed charges. The charges were dropped and the civil case went nowhere.
Her most fitting punishment will be the havoc in her life her infidelity causes. The fact that she’ll be charged with rape seems over the top to me.

Assuming the marriage is over now, just the divorce, selling of the home, finding a new place, all that **** would be brutal.
Add to that the embarrassing publicity that she and her family are receiving from all the news stories. You have to really feel sorry for her husband and kids.
Yeah...years ago, this stuff (pre-internet, like 60's and 70's and into the 80's) was sort of "dealt with" in a different way. Usually once rumors would start the administration would get that teacher out of there and even sort of help them on their way to another place, a few towns over.

almost a guarantee she does, my bets is her husband is a hard working guy who works a lot to afford their life and kids and she felt lonely and unappreciated with her life of taking care of kids and home. Correct. Because he is 17, she's not being charged with statutory rape, but with felony sexual abuse by a school employee. I guess she wouldn't have been charged with any crime if she hadn't been a substitute teacher at his school.

I think so. If you are around 16-17 year olds the last thing you would want to do is screw them. More like teach them about proper hygiene and appropriate tech use.
