I was a really dumb kid, but that... that is a whole 'nother level of stupidity.

I can guarantee that if I was a 15 year old at that party and my parents saw my picture they would've kicked my *** between my shoulders and given me a toothbrush to go scrub the graffiti off his walls. What the hell is wrong with these parents?

This absolutely answers the question about "what is wrong with our education system" in the thread the other day. No one cares to hold their kids accountable for anything... it's whoever ratted them out's fault.

I know it's not quite that simple... but you better believe this is a serious problem.

I am also baffled that only one kid that did this showed up to help clean the house to get it ready for a charity event for veterans. Total. Pieces. Of. ****.

I would prosecute them to the fullest extent sunce they don't want to take the opportunity to do the right thing.

Kids seem to rule the roost now days. It's sad, but the power is in their hands now with social media. When I was a child every parent in the neighborhood had a paddle that they would use at will against any of us if we misbehaved, with the permission of the other parents of course. But now the kids can retaliate with twitter and the parents have been accustomed to bending the knee to avoid being the bad guy.

uh...wow.
My friends and I did dumb stuff and got in trouble a few times thru the years for what is now hilariously stupid stuff. I cant imagine a neighborhood full of parents with paddles that could slap other kids, even with the permission of that kid's parents.
Its an interesting and diverse country we live in.

We got in trouble for what we did...by our own parents. I dont think our friendships would have lasted much thru being paddle slapped by other parents.

Interesting.

You should go look at the douchebags who went...

I would be on my way to a military academy if I was one of those kids. My dad would've broken his foot off in my ***...and I would have deserved it. Today's society, on the other hand, is all about shifting the blame to anyone but the kids.

It's not like the parents would tally-whack kids for no reason

uh...wow.

We didn't misbehave much partly because we were good kids, partly because we knew we would be disciplined.

My point was, that the parents were in control a generation ago. Not the case anymore.

I had a man down the street give me a whupping because he felt I disrespected him. When I went home and told my dad (because he would have whupped me good for not telling him), he whipped my tail again. He could tear up some ***.

Having said that, I've never done drugs, broke in someone's house, broken curfew, been arrested, flunked out of school, gotten fired from a job, etc. So the discipline worked. I hold my kids accountable for their screwups, and they aren't even teenagers yet.

I think it also shows the difference in "North" and "South"...

When I first heard this story the first thing I thought was that the former player should prepare to sue the parents of these kids for property damage. That's what I would of done if those a######s starting talking back like that to me -- give those kids a REAL education... I have a 26-year-old nephew who recently became a father, and I know because of the way his father raised him that my grand-nephew will never get out of line. (My brother, his birth father, died when my nephew was 3 years old but his stepfather was just as tough as my brother would have been, thank you God). I think it is how you are raised that makes the difference, and for most Southern family discipline is still a major part of the legacy we live. No doubt there would be consequences for such actions if that occurred here -- and it would not be for the person reporting.

Entitled little *****.

I mean that about the parents also.

The only kids I feel for are the few (if any) that heard about a house party, showed up, and left when they realized it was a breaking in situation. If those kids had their pics snapped and put on the Internet, I'm sorry. Guess they have to into reputation damage control bc they have ****** friends.

For the rest, cry me a river. Don't do stupid things. Don't do stupid things then put them in twitter (twitter owns the pics now, morons) or anywhere else on the Internet. If you do and get busted, time to hang your head in shame.
