Agreed--I just don't understand.
I was angrier at 17-3 than I was when we lost. Now, I'm not saying I think we're the best team in the country or anything but I'm very confident the floor remains 10-2 and we'll, at least, host a playoff game.
Could something crazy happen--of course, but it's unlikely.
I think we have a better shot at beating Ohio State than we do of losing to Indiana
You're assuming that the way we played in the 4th quarter will carry over into the rest of the season. That is a big leap.
This team has issues on offense, a lot of them, coaching, schemes, QB play, O-Line.
I agree we have a good shot to still go 10-2. Let's see how Indiana looks over the next month. Their QB and WRs are good. We should beat Iowa because they won't be able to do much on offense.
Admittedly I still have hope vs OSU but that is just my heart talking. My head says don't have any hope because you will just break your heart.....again.
The Indiana game will probably be a play-in game. IF we get by them then we are hopefully hosting a first round game. At that point, who knows but if we have to play an Alabama or an Ole Miss or an A&M in the first round then Big Game James gets another bite of the apple. Will he pull the football away at the last minute again a la Charlie Brown or actually finally win one of these games.
I am hoping the O-Line improves. We got better last year as the season progressed. That will help this offense immensely. Maybe this Oregon game was a wake up call to Franklin, AK and Allar. Stick with what has been successful, put Allar in situations where he can succeed. And for the love of God when we get back into a game deciding situation if the play is not there then tell him to throw it to the next county.
