Tennessee could not handle Deville, but we didn't play him down the stretch...

I think he will be starting before the season is over along side of Bost or at least getting starter minutes. We were better tonight with Deville at the point.<div id="isChromeWebToolbarDiv" style="display:none"></div>

For as terrific as he played in the first half, he was equally terrible in the 2nd half. He can't play out of control against good teams and throw up prayers in the paint. And if I were Bury, I'd tel him not to take another 3 point shot the rest of the season.

I hope he can continue to play down the stretch like he did in the 1st half. Dee is going to need the rest, and Bryant is an atrocious ball handler. Maybe as Rodney gains confidence he can bring it up more. But as for ball handlers, Dee and Deville are all we've got.

It's like Deville penetrates and our other players are going back on defense, we need someone going to the basket when he drives for the dish....

he will learn over time and as far as threes, I'd almost rather him shoot a three than get crammed under the goal. He played very good in the first half and UT really body's up on guards. They got away with it early but the zebras finally started calling them . We need Bryant and Steele to not just hurt us and make a shot or two when open. I actually thought we played a lot better defense tonight but Golden made some big time shots. I don't think Bama will shoot the threes that well so it will be a war Saturday.

Smith needs to be a drive and dish guy with our big men. He could get our Bigs a couple easy looks in the paint. That would help Sidney get into the game more than anything.

I thought other than the 2 wide open 3's at the top of the key we played him pretty tight, he just hit some big time shots. Other than his shots the Vols didn't have much.

We missed our chance to put this game away in the 12:00 to 6:00 stretch. I think we had like 8 turnovers in that period.

He can't drive until he's under the basket and then try to make something happen. He needs to look for the pass as he starts his drive.

Bost hasn't learned how to play under control in four years. What makes you think this staff is going to have a different affect on Smith.<div>

From what I have seen, I like Deville. BUT, somebody needs to strap a throttle to his *** and put that ***** on cruise control. I think he is going to be a big time player for us down the road, but to think he should be getting starter minutes at this point over fellow seniors Bost and Bryant is absurd. I do feel he should be getting a solid 15 to 20 per game but that should be tops. The Gary Ervin comment appears dead on to me and we all remember how that situation turned out. The kid is young, he needs to sit back and start taking some notes from Dee.

We have to teach Deville to dish to our Bigs and our Bigs to come in on the offside or as a trailer when Deville drives the lane.
He's all alone down there in a 1 on 3, Why???
I agree he does need to learn to slow it down sometimes and look to pass to the open man when he drives the lane, even if it's one of our other 4 players just standing outside the 3 point line...

Obviously you have never been to a practice. Cunningham does a lot more than you are aware of. I guess you'd run Bost off too. some of you folks are just plain stupid.

I am fully aware of what Cunningham does or does not bring to the table. I'm alsofully aware of how hispeers feel about him.

And it is painfully obvious how other schools feel about his potential as a head coach.

to bash Deville in this post. I've done enough of that already. I will say I don't think he's a good fit in our system though. He is a speed player and will thrive in a fast paced system/style of play. I don't see Stansbury fully committing to this type of play to appease Deville and I don't think Deville should temper his style of play for MSU. Sorry Fish but for the best for Deville and for the best for MSU basketball I think he should transfer to a higher paced offense. Bash away I just don't think it's fair to ask Deville to be the type of point guard this team needs. He can't slow down and Stansbury isn't going to make the rest of the team run n gun just for one player.
