Tressel still has a lot of baggage. And, @3 years of "sanctions" remaining. This doesn't make sense. And, the TN board isn't on fire.

Might be $9M for 3 years. That would make more sense.

If $9M/year, then Alabama will have to come up with a big raise for Saban and Texas for Mack Brown ... and I doubt they'd do that given his record lately. Apparently Saban has to be the highest paid coach in CFB. They put him above Mack Brown a year or two ago.

except that Jim Tressell has a show cause clause in his NCAA ban....much like Bruce Pearl has.

Tennessee ain't hiring Jim Tressel. This is either a virus site, or someone pumping their own blog

Mack Brown makes more than Saban. Actually, looking at another source, it looks like Saban's total pay may be a bit higher, but I think Brown has a higher salary. Either way, they're both making around $5-6M. TN isn't going to pay double that amount.

UT, former employers of Lane Kiffin and Bruce Pearl, are not hiring Tressel

Do they need to irk the NCAA any more than they have already? Plus, Tressel still has a suspension to serve before 2017.
