He was 185 and 140 in his career as a head coach.

He wasn’t Nick Saban by any means but he was a decent coach.

I met him one time after a member of his staff at Akron was killed in a car wreck. My take from that day was that he was just a dude who loves being a football coach and everything it involves.

I knew him growing up. He was a good guy who also loved being a football coach.
