I know a lot of people may not want to hear it, (not here, but Genespage) but for me, it's nice to have a baseball coach that doesn't make BS excuses and can honestly look at our situation vs the other schools in the SEC and see that we are not up to par with what we should be.

I totally agree, I have no problem with him having that opinion. But, I do get tired of hearing it and I believe the players will as well. He's making them the scapegoat every game. He downs there talent over and over and it has to wear on them. It's like a WR calling out his QB in the media instead of face to face (TO). I believe in keeping things in the locker room unless it is necessary and I do not believe it is necessary to continually blast the players talent levels saying they are not the rigth caliber player and still expecting them to put it on the line for you.

I was on a team in High School that went to the playoffs and the next year went 3-23 while only graduating 1 guy. The coach didnt say you suck as players, he talked about what we had to do better to win

That is a leadership approach

As for your high school coach's approach, that got him a 3-23 record. Maybe he should have jumped your asses a little more.

Ron or Gene?

I doubt Cohen is ONLY calling them out in the media, because you can bet your 3-23 *** the players who are not up to par know exactly who the hell they are.

Seems Cohen (rightfully so) is setting the bar as high as he can right now, but especially trying to set it higher for future of our program. He's not going to have the players half-assing out there without calling them out.

Plus, its a huge stretch to equate Cohen to TO. Cohen is the head coach&CEO. He's earned the right to call out a player if its neccessary. TO is a titty baby and has no CEO, head coach or executive experience. Quite simply, he's a player.

We would hate for your young green ears to hear somebody like Nike Saban try "keeping things in the locker room."
