Is that football only? Can't read the article, I know Dallas Baptist dropped their women's tennis program this year.

I know a girl that committed to Oregon State track back in Nov when the pac12 thing was in limbo and it would hopefully soon be filled with high level teams.
She followed through with signing and is headed there in a few weeks.

17ing Texas State is joining?
Damn, that conference needed to just retire and have a banner hung from the proverbial rafters in it's honor.
Keeping it going like this is meaningless.

Going from competing with Stanford and UCLA and Cal to...Texas State.

Yeah that's a pitiful list of teams the pac has signed.

Also the PACs tv deal was just signed with cbs. For football 3 games total on cbs and the rest on cbssports and paramount. No terms were disclosed which makes me wonder what their payout will be to each school.

Texas st was getting about $1-2 million a year from the sunbelt.

I wonder is Oregon State and Washington State sharing money left behind when the other schools took off.

From what I understand there's no previous TV deal or bowl distribution. It's the all new PAC 8

SMU is in the Atlantic Coast Conference

Texas State in the Pacific Athletic Conference

Makes perfect sense.

And La Tech is leaving CUSA to back fill Texas State’s SunBelt slot.
Not so fast. Southwest Louisiana and Northeast Louisiana are trying to block this.

Western Kentucky to Sun Belt is picking up steam.

I’ll just say it again. It is a TRAVESTY what has been done to college athletics over the last decade. Generations worth of tradition has been totally blown apart so that schools can increase revenue in a system with plenty of money by 15% or 20%. When this whole thing is worthless 40 years from now because our grandkids don’t give a crap about the Pac12 with East coast schools and an ACC with west coast schools, we will only have ourselves to blame. This thing is only holding on because we are addicts who grew up with it in a different era. This will not sustain.

Texas State is joining for all sports I believe, Dallas Baptist would probably only join for Baseball, their Baseball program is the only program at the school that competes at the D1 level while other sports there compete at the D3 level.
