You're close actually. The walkon had some CUSA offers, but decided to walkon under Kingsberry.
Apparently the starter got hurt last week and the walk on won the job from another true freshman (3 star).

I really hope MSU finds out about the players that they could be recruiting every year here in Central Texas, primarily the skill players around here that would love to play in the SEC. I sit and watch a lot of raw talent every Friday night on the highlight show here that I think would love to have a shot at a school in the SEC west.
