I would like to personally thank all the members on this years team for all the joy they brought our state.The fact that this team was composed of first class individuals that dedicated themselves to the highest standards on and off the court is a testament to their integrity.I have been a Wildcat since the days of Cotton Nash era and never seen such a great group of teammates represent the Big Blue Nation.Thanks again guys and good luck in whatever your future is,I know it will be a bright one for all of you

Your first post was a jewel. Good for you. I too have been a fan of UKBB since a couple of years before Cotton Nash, and have many sweet memories throughout my fandom. Yes, I also have some not so good memories, but mostly the good ones. I congratulate you for your post giving this years team props. While we have been busy complaining about officiating and other things about this tournament, we forgot to say something nice about our players and our coaching staff for the amazing job they have done. GO CATS and good luck to players going to NBA.

I could not agree more. What a team we had this year! 38 and freaking 1!. As the bitterness of the loss subsides and reality starts to set in, all I can do when I think about this team is smile. They were so much fun to watch. In retrospect, they were not as dominant a team as their record would indicate, but that just makes their record all the more astounding.

No team in UK history ever sacrificed so much in the way of ego for the sake of a unified cause. And the pressure they withstood was unprecedented in the history of college basketball. They should be awfully awfully proud of themselves. I know I am.

No team has ever been 38-0. Not Indiana. Not Duke. Not UCLA. Not UNC. It's not what we wanted, but it is still amazing.

DITTO to this and all posts I have read here thus far!!! What an amazing season! What an amazing group of kids! I'm 47 and I don't recall a UK team in all my years where the entire roster on and off the court made us as proud as these kids have. Not to knock on our past great teams but these kids were so selfless not just on the court but off the court as well in how they visited the sick and down trodden. They have been a part of so many selfless acts that it just warms my heart. This is the other part that Calipari doesn't get enough credit for. By and large, he really does a fantastic job in not only nabbing great talent but kids with great character as well.

Yeah, some of them said and acted a little immature in our loss but I'm not going to beat them up. I'm sure that they are disappointed in themselves in retrospect. Is there anyone alive who can say he/she they never did or said something that they regretted later? Kids make mistakes and so do adults, but these kids will all have a special place in my heart.
