How in the hell can anybody even possibly want to attempt to justify the decision to sit on the ball with 1+ minute to go in the half, down by 7 to the #4 team in the nation on their homefield, all the while being a 1-3 team that is looking for any spark. Croom told our players and fans that we aren't good enough nor are we capable of trying to be competitive in that situation. We had momentum and he KILLED it. His job is to be our coach not a sell out. He should of had our offense huddled together and he should have told them that we are going out to get us some points before half. Instead he MADE our team accept mediocrity and showed he had no confidence in them. Even if he doesn't believe we are capable of scoring he should never let our players or fanbase know that. Damn, what do we have to lose at this point?!?!?
Anybody and I stress anybody that believes that ******** was the right call is a 17ing moron that knows little to nothing about competitive sports. That was a horseshit call from a man in WAY over his head. He is obviously confused about what he is doing and is continuing to show that he is incapable of being a head coach in D1 football.
Our heads stuck in their *** fans who accept stupidity and idiocy are one of the main reasons we are having to live with this laughing stock of D1 football coaching staff. I'm sick of people candy coating this situation. Damn folks, there must be accountability. If you think this is the best we can do and we are doing just fine, please find another team to pull for so we can at least attempt to begin correcting this problem. Hopefully it can be done before our program falls into a hole deeper than the one Sherrill left us in.
**Sorry again for the rant, its late and I'm just tired of what has become an all too familiar (and for some an acceptable) Saturday in MSU football.
