..deserves a home court advantage, while a ranked team gets sent to Pittsburgh.

This makes 0 sense.

I thought Lunardi was a genius at this.

He sounds like a kook coming up with this crap.

lastly, taking Lunardi at face value just for ***** & giggles, I highly doubt the committee will allow 2 teams from the SECE to be in the same regional.

Also, check the comments section... how in the WORLD do UK fans always claim victim because of their draw, etc...?<div>
</div><div>The people on there, and the UK fans I know always think that the system is out to get them and they have to overcome all of these other obstacles in order to achieve what they should be entitled to</div>

Showing our stock is dropping. Makes sense after a road win at Vandy**. That Ole Miss loss really hurt us in the eyes of Joe.....of course our tournament history doesn't help us either

Now come late February, you might want to give it a look. Too many games left to be played to project who is even in tourney... Why does he even predict it right now??

RPI: 39
SOS: 70
Record: 16-4
v. Top 50: 3-2
v. Top 100: 4-4
road/neutral record: 4-3 (unless I'm missing something here, not sure about all of your OOC games)
quality wins: West Virginia (13), Alabama (30), @Vanderbilt (31)
bad losses: none

It's a good resume. If you go by your ranking in the polls, you're a 5 seed. If you go by your RPI, you're a 10 seed. Your RPI will have to pick up to move up. Ideally for you, you want to get somewhere in the 4-7 seed range. I don't think you'll go any higher than that, but you don't want the 8-9 range.

Page views...period.

Plus it's not a prediction so much as his projection of what the tournament would look like if Selection Sunday were today. He's not projecting how anyone will finish out, just who would be in today, who would be out, and where he thinks they'd be seeded based on their resume today.

Of course it is a prediction. If the season ended today do you really think an unranked team would be a 3 seed?

And say what you want about him. Call him an idiot if you want too, but no one in the media is more accurate in his predictions of the NCAA tournament draw than Lunardi. He is very surprisingly accurate every year. He is more accurate than both polls and RPI.

He might have gotten this teed up before our game on Sat and didn't go back and tweak it.

No matter. Its not him we have to impress its the selection committee.

it seems like the only reason that we keep staying in the polls is because other teams keep losing also. If no one else is going to step up and take out spot, then MSU deserves to keep it but it's hard watching our team struggle in every single SEC game we play yet still believe that we're Top 20 material. On top of that, we really got the benefit earlier in the year of knocking off some clearly overrated teams that gave a big boost to our ranking.

An 8 seed is probably a little harsh but in all honesty, I'd probably put us in as a 6 right now at best.

Those two have looked terrible since we played them. At the time, I think most people thought those would be two solid wins for the resume. That's why it's so important for us to root for a team like Auburn to get into the Top 100 RPI and Arkansas to stay in the Top 100 RPIbecause we play them twice and need them to finish respectably to pad our resume if we can sweep the three we have left against those two schools.

He doesn't have Ole Miss and Arkansas in his first 8 out. Both should currently be there at least on the bubble. He's still biased against the SEC due to years past, IMO. I think we get 6 teams into the tourney, if not 7 this year. WarrenNolan, using metrics(no bias) mhas Arky and OM making the tourney as a 12 seed, with us as a 7.

Or at least it shouldn't be... If that were the case, USM would be a 4 seed, Memphis would be a 5 seed, etc etc...<div>
</div><div>RPI does a good job of giving the committee your total body of work... But seeding is subjective, and any idiot could look at the current Mississippi State schedule and see they are no lower than a 6 and no higher than a 4 at this current moment.</div>
