He's NFL ready now. Staying another year in college will likely just make his NFL career one year shorter. His first contract may be smaller, but he'll be able to sign a market contract one year sooner. Seems like a no brainer.

Plus with structured rookie salaries, the first contract isn't your money-maker anymore. It's the second contract. So, assuming you're good enough to make it, you want to get to that second contract as quickly as possible.
