I hate to say it, but so far it looks like the ACC has outclassed all other conferences by quite a bit. The Big 12 were just pretenders as the best conference.

I think that everyone here would admit that the ACC's top 5-6 each year are always the best. Even the bluest of tinted glasses would have to agree. Obviously the top 1-2 in any given conference can rival other conferences, but it's a quality conference. Especialy with the addition of UL and Notre Dame. Solid high end teams.

I wish we were in the ACC. But Im not sure we'd be staring down 40-0 if we were

Just don't want the baby bluers or floppers to ever win anything.

No, but they were this year. Things change from year to year. Often quite a bit. The ACC has actually been pretty weak lately outside of 3-4 teams.

Ultimately though, only 1 of them will make it to the title game.

I wouldn't hate to say it at all. The top tier ACC teams were all great games among each other, and fun to watch. No surprise to see them do well in the NCAAT. Still a long way to go, though. But yeah, looks like the ACC has proven itself that the top tier teams, and even the mid range teams makes that conference the nod for best in the country this year.

So, congrats, ACC.

But it is still possible they could slip up, anything can happen, there's still a TON of games to be played.

Only NC State has outperformed their seed to this point.

An ACC team has not made the final four since 2010. At least one should get there this year.

Yeah but another way to look at that is only NC State under-performed during the regular season to get that low seed that allowed them to outperform their seed.

It's literally impossible for any of the 1-4 seeds in each region to "outperform their seed" in the first weekend. NC State is the only ACC team not to get a top 4 seed.

That said, wouldn't be surprised if both Louisville and UVA lose tomorrow, Duke will probably struggle with SDSU.

notre dame looks a bit shaky....3 point win over a 14 seed...OT win against a 6. LSU literally handed the game to NC state...still they did take out a 1 seed. it took some luck, but both got the job done...survive and advance.
