The addition to the Millbrook roster looks like a game changer.

For you Virginia Preps Premium members, be sure to read the article about Isaac Brown over on the VIP forum. Millbrook has picked up a superstar in the making. Brown was the WV Gatorade Offensive Player of the Year last season. Be sure to watch his highlight video.

Hammy, I feel for Sherando. He leaves Martinsburg, but comes to another of you opponents. If the Millbrook QB can get the ball to him, watch out!

Great job by the reporter, Al McDonald, by the way.

If I'm not mistaken, I thought that either Clarke orHammy said that Millbrook will more than likely move Brown to QB this year. That could be very scary with Savon Smith returning.

That would make for a more balanced attack. Last year they had Kier and Smith to run the ball but they didn't have a good passing game. Having Brown at QB will be like trying to defend McCants from Dominion last year. Smith is a threat at WR or RB & Brown's goals for the year make it sound like he plans to be not only a dual threat QB but a WR as well.

Sounds like Millbrook could be a much bigger threat in the playoffs this year. Of course they'll still have to have an OL and play good defense. I don't know their schedule, but the Sherando game should be a good gauge. They did have 20 Sr's, by far the biggest part of the team. (14 Jr's, 6 So, 3 not listed & 2 Fr)

Well the only reason he came to Millbrook I hear is because he wanted to play QB, didn't have the chance at the Burg because they have a D-1-2 QB who can throw.
Now Brown can't throw like a typical pocket passer from what I hear, but he can run. In high school that will win you a lot of games. He is a nice athlete, can run well , and can catch a pass.
I hear that there is a residence problem still though , we will see if that is cleared up before next year.
Either way , looks like a nice match up for Sherando , who will be one year away from having a loaded team.
You want to see a offense this year? SHS will have a strong O. now D?, we will see.

Can this kid play both ways? Defense is where they will need help against the better teams.

If I remember correctly he played corner at the Burg last year, but I don't believe he is known for his defensive prowess. Either way he will be a nice play maker for them. lots can happen between now and the season though.

I know the Brown family in MBurg. They did not move their son to play qb in football. Personal things were going on in the family. You don't move a kid when he gets WV Gatorade player of the year. He does play db and was the shutdown corner while they won the WV state title. He also was the return specialist and Punter. He will be a big asset to the team at Millbrook.

Things happen in life. Just the way it is. I'm glad that the young man is going to have the chance to continue his high school education at a top quality school. And their successful football program is just a bonus. Tough deal to have to leave your school, teammates, and friends behind. I hope the Millbrook community embraces him as just another kid, not because of his football skills.

Millbrook has a long way to go to be elite. I am sure the transfer will help but Salem 45. Millbrook 7 at half in playoffs: they need more than one kid

Agree for the most part....but never underestimate what one superstar can do for a team at the high school level.

Millbrook graduated I believe 22 seniors or somewhere close to that last year , they will be a solid team, with the addition.

Hopefully Salem will have a pretty good player that they didn't have in that playoff game too.

Every year is a new year , perhaps neither Salem nor Millbrook will be involved at that stage of the season. We never know!

Don't disagree. Just saying that Millbrook has a long way to go to be able to play with the best four teams in 4a no matter who they might be this year.
