I know JF looked real good in scrimmage against Salem. Amherst and Hidden Valley also played Salem tough. Don't know what their records were.

Lake Taylor JV won the District for the upteenth time in a row. Since Coach Sawyer has been there (1999) the JV have lost a around 8-9 games

Salem and LT JV programs are obviously very good and record is certainly one indicator of that. However, the reason I think both those programs are very good has to do with culture and teaching that goes on at that level and allows kids to be impact players when they get to the varsity level. Without calling names the landscape has seen undefeated and 1 loss jayvee programs that NEVER translate that to the field on varsity Friday nights and middle of the road jayvee teams that seem to transform between sophomore and junior years in to contenders. Both situations represent the difference between real programs and pretenders.

Monacan's JV team isn't that good... but we have 16 Sophomores on varsity so sometimes it is hard to tell.

With that being said there is no denying the talent pool of Salem and Lake Taylor. If they have awesome varsity / JV / Fresh teams it is certainly a powerful statement for them moving forward. Especially with the successful history of both schools.

Highland Springs from Richmond has an awesome Varsity and their JV and Fresh teams were undefeated. They probably have the deepest talent pool in the Richmond area.

EV has been very good the last 2-years. Undefeated this year until last game....up 19-0 late in the fourth and LOST on 2 Hail Mary's and an onside kick. Re-match this week against Kettle Run for JV title

GW Danville went 10-0 including a win over Charlotte Vance. If I'm not mistaken they were the only team that came within a touchdown of beating them this year.
