What a surprise: the prick from Michigan State ranked us 8th. Everybody else has MSU at 12th or worse: he put them at 6th. Talk about denying reality.

Part of the reason that Ohio State was ranked No. 1 to begin with was a resume that includes wins over No. 10 Penn State and No. 20 Notre Dame. That resume looked much better last week than it does this week after the Fighting Irish suffered their third loss of the season -- this time to a remarkably average (and unranked) Clemson team. The fact that Notre Dame is still ranked No. 20 by the committee is clearly propping up an Ohio State team that is still a work-in-progress."
Overrated: No. 1 Ohio State
The Buckeyes were far from crisp against Rutgers, and we know "game control" is a metric considered between those four walls of the committee room. It has to count for something. Rutgers is significantly better than in previous seasons but is far from a juggernaut. Imagine beating Iowa and being consistently ranked the 4th best team in the conference with the following weeks game vs the cult to claim #3 on the line !? Wild to think. Long way to go but wow.
check that Michigan State guy's line... has Rutgers 8th behind Indiana, Michigan State and Illinois (after the most common top 4). Most people have last place a battle between Michigan State and Purdue and Indiana.
CBS still shows its SEC-biased roots... even after the SEC largely jilted them for ESPN.
IMHO, you cannot lament Ohio State being number 1 because anyone else you put there would have similar arguments against them. Lots of parity this year among College football's top teams. I think all the player movement has adversely affected the overall competence of teams.
