The BIGGEST difference between us and Alabama

Is level of execution. Now I'm not implying anything about talent levels being the same or close to the same or saying whether Mullen can or can't out coach Saban. I'm just saying this is the biggest difference, not the only difference. Alabama is so good because they execute at an extremely high level about 90% of the time. We have shown a lot of flashes and even stretches of great execution, but I'd say we are at about 40%. Maybe 50. Think about. Auburn - first drive ends in no points bc of a dropped ball. We fumble on another drive. Give up a TD on special teams. We could've won that game 42-3 with good execution. Troy, we dropped tons of passes and tackled like ****. Got a big lead and tried to coast. We executed like crap for an entire half against USA and MTSU. Tennessee, our first 6 drives all went into the red zone and we kicked 2 FG and missed a 3rd. Gave up another TD on special teams. We legitimately could've been up 42-7 at the half with slightly better execution. Then we didnt even show up for the 3rd quarter. The potential is there to be great this year. The execution has not been there for long stretches at various times. For us to have a chance Saturday night, we simply need to execute at a high level for 4 quarters. If we are at our normal 40-50%, we will have a hard time covering the spread. Fwiw, I believe we put it all together this week. It's going to be a 4th quarter game.

One thing in our favor is that we don't commit many penalties.. hopefully that doesn't mysteriously change this week

my biggest fear.

this will test our mental toughness, one way to avoid this is go balls to the walls and try to get up by 2 scores early

This team (especially Russell) has executed better when it mattered most...

I still think we have some things we haven't shown (particularly for #4.)

And connected to this will be whether TR can QUICKLY diagnose what he's looking at and react to it with the right read. If not, look out.

I actually think it's MSU DL vs Bama OL that is key

If we can't stop their running game some of the time and get a little pressure on AJ in some passing situations it's going to be a long day, even for our very good secondary.

Idiot post! Les Miles beat Alabama. Mullen > Les Miles and 3rd or 4th among SEC coaches. Biggest difference dumbass!

Vince Lombardi would want to be able to run 6 plays perfectly than to be able to run 20 plays that may or may not be run correctly.

What I believe made him a great coach.

Really? Head coach smack from y'all? Did you forget your last 3 coaches? Ogreron, Nutt, and now a women's HS basketball coach....don't make me laugh. Wait, too late. Hilarious how much confidence one win in 2 years gives y'all.
