And the same smoke started coming on Chris Jones. They start making the same claims. Bulldog folks claim he's not even taking an official visit there. And a heck of a job by our coaches if they've truly run an undercover scheme to send Chris Jones to Oxford to flirt with them and leave them hanging at the altar on signing day. I didn't think we had it in us to be so devious. But I'll still stand by my determination that if it's anything BUT that, and I personally don't think it's that, then I think we've lost him. In the recruiting game, you just don't become a firm commitment to somebody, tell those coaches you're not visiting Oxford, call them hours in advance to say you are, schedule a signing day press conference to pick between the two teams, and then just stick with your original commitment. It just doesn't add up.

That's not really in regards to Chris Jones. It's a perfectly legitimate point of view to think he's going to sign with State. But I also think it's perfectly legitimate to think he's likely Oxford bound. There's evidence on both sides. The "spin machine" is more than nonsensical posts about "secret Florida message boards" that say Nkemdiche's a lock for Gainesville. And posts like crootin' Update 2.0 OM related laying out crazy doomsday scenarios for them. I don't buy any of that.

You seem to be forgetting a big difference between the CJ Johnson situation and Chris Jones recruitment...CJ Johnson actually withdrew his commitment a couple of week before signing day. Chris has not done that...I'd like to think that - just maybe - he's trying to send a message to MSU people by remaining committed.
