I meant that the coaching hires, and subsequent successful football........would take care of fundraising. I can see where that sounded confusing.
Auburn does not have a problem fundraising you dumb mother 17er.
Their problem is like Clemson......trying to do it in some mythical 'right way' because the coach is stuck in the old system.
15 to 17 I can believe. A number that puts us in the top 5 in the nation, I do not believe.
Only one person in the country examined his record in depth and interviewed him extensively. John Cohen. It was his damn job to find the cracks & flaws in his resume that are obvious to all of us in hindsight.
If you're saying none of us knows exactly went on in private discussions, I guess you're right. And so maybe we should just shut down message boards since we'll never know the truth.
But Judge apparently told John Mara that he not only had an offer, but also was under pressure to make a quick decision.
Maybe Judge is just an incredibly smooth negotiator. I tend to believe Matt Ruhle taking the Panthers job saved us from the Joe Judge era.

Worse than Leach? Yes, it would have been much worse. So bad that we would probably be complaining that Cohen was dumb for firing Moorhead.
OTOH, Judge would have saved us from hiring Arnett. But we wouldnt know that.
Oh ok. I get what you’re saying now. I thought you meant coaches needed to be out pounding the pavement begging for NIL funds from current/potential boosters. I feel like in an age where athletic departments have literal general managers like a pro team and booster networks dedicated to raising and distributing money, the coach needs to be focused on coaching and not the money side.
You’re saying coaching success opens up pocket books, which creates more success, which I agree with.
If this is really really legit, and we spend anywhere close to $30M, then there’s no way we shouldn’t finish north of .500.
