The dreaded XM/Sirius question...

For whatever reason, I was unable to find ANY SEC broadcast on Saturday. This week was the first attempt at it, but others have said we weren't getting the games in previous weeks.

The odd thing is, both the website and the "preview" stations were advertising when the games started and which station would carry which broadcast.

Any ideas? Prior to the merger, I was with Sirius. Could it be anything to do with that? I've never had any issues with it in previous seasons.

If you are on Sirius equipment and are still paying for the Sirius plan, you can't get any SEC games since they are technically still on XM stations. Since the merger, they've combined channels and brought XM stations to Sirius and vice versa but there are still 2 different lineups and sets of channels.

yep. But SEC changed to XM after one season I think, two seasons at the most. SEC games are always between 198 and 204 or thereabouts on XM. What sucks is you only get the home announcer, so Jack is not guaranteed.

If you have Sirius currently, you need to upgrade to "the best of XM" in order to get SEC radio broadcasts. It doesn't cost much to add this to your current Sirius programming.

With Sirius, some equipment is not capable to receive the XM channels. This makes most of the older receivers ineligible for the Best of XM package. I know this because the Sirius unit in my 2007 Camry can't get the package.
