1. OSU
2. TCU - they're so good and fun to watch
3. Baylor
4. LSU - will jump both XII when they beat Bama

5. Clemson
6. Alabama
7. Iowa - will jump Bama when they lose to LSU
8. UND - won't get into playoff if Clemson wins out and doesn't
9. MSU
10. Oklahoma State - undefeated, and Stanford is lucky to not have 2 losses right now, Wazzu missed a FG as time expired

Scenario: Ole Miss and Alabama both win out. Ole Miss wins the SEC, beating Florida in Atlanta for the title, to finish 11-2. Alabama finishes 11-1 but is not even their division's champion. Ole Miss won at Alabama. Does either get into the playoff? Which one should be higher?

1 - Ohio State
2 - Clemson
3 - Baylor
4 - LSU

At which point, LSU will lose to Alabama on Saturday and be knocked out. The top of the Big 12 will eat itself up. Their champion better be 12-0 if they want a seat this season. Clemson needs to run the table probably. Winner of B1G will be in. Utah/Stanford will need help this time to get in.

I honestly don't think it makes the slightest difference who the top 4 are or where anyone is ranked tonight.

ETA: With the possible exception of someone like Memphis or Houston. For the P5...tonight's rankings don't mean much.

Iowa actually has the best wins out of all the teams in the top 25! Look it up.

However, I am not sure if they will place them in the top 4 or not, though I would be shocked if they are ranked less than 7th.

If at season end MSU only loses to OSU, and Iowa only loses to OSU, and OSU is undefeated, do three BIG teams make the top 4?

Agree with this as more of these teams play each other in November we'll get a better feel but it's still fun to project.

1. OSU
2. LSU
3. Clemson
4. Baylor (would have had them 2 but have to see how they look with Seth Russell first)

5. TCU
6. MSU
7. Alabama

NFW. Money men won't allow it. Should happen but won't. An SEC team with 1 or 2 losses will be in, or the playoffs won't count.

Baylor needs to step up out of conference. Washington State is better than any ooc game they have had the last few years.
