What is a band or artist that you regret not seeing or not seeing in their prime. My two regrets are not seeing GNR in their prime, saw them a year or so ago, and not seeing Prince at all.
I was too young to see any 80’s bands in their prime. Just a wishlist of who I could have seen in their prime. What is a band or artist that you regret not seeing or not seeing in their prime. My two regrets are not seeing GNR in their prime, saw them a year or so ago, and not seeing Prince at all.
I have no clue why they never did one last big tour with Jason Bonham. That sole 2007 concert with Jason Bonham in England that had people falling over each other paying astronomical prices for tickets should have been the evidence that it would be a billion dollar tour.My favorite rock band Led Zeppelin. Had tickets for superdome in 77/8. They cancelled the show at last minute. Never got another chance. Did see Plant in Orlando early 90’s. Not the same
You’re right. I was considering flying over but then saw ticket prices. Full no goI have no clue why they never did one last big tour with Jason Bonham. Jason Bonham’s Zeppelin cover band would be a great get for a State campus concert. Either Bulldog Bash or Super Bulldog Weekend. You’re right. I was considering flying over but then saw ticket prices. Full no go

I saw AC/DC in Memphis when I was a kid on the Razors Edge tour. Went with my brother. Needless to say that was one of the defining points of my childhood. There were pieces of ceiling tile falling on the crowd during “for those about to rock”.AC/DC
I saw AC/DC in Biloxi in 1983. Loudest concert I have ever been to. I left before they shot off the canon. Heard it from the parking lot. Hated to leave early but I knew what was coming.AC/DC
You can see them next year if you’ve got $800 for a ticket. I wanted to go but when I saw the prices & how they kept “adding dates” to try to create an artificial shortage for the first wave of tickets on sale, I said screw it. I think the new drummer will be fine & was looking forward to seeing her. But I have real doubts about Geddy’s voice, especially with that many shows.I was able to see most bands I wanted to, but never got to see Rush.
Had a chance to see him is Dallas in 99 or 2000. The tickets were $75 and I thought that was insane at the time.Tom Petty.
Garth Brooks and Aerosmith? Don’t beat yourself up over that.I had a chance to see Garth Brooks when he played The Hump in the early 90's for free, but declined the ticket because "I didn't like country music".
Had a chance to see Metallica & Aerosmith in the mid-90's but didn't feel like making the drive from Starkville to New Orleans.
Now they have the nerve to call themselves Skynyrd w/ no surviving members alive even.Ozzy
Skynyrd (w/RVZ)
Prince
Yeah, but it won't be the same as in their prime and I agree with you, not paying that much for a concert ticket. I can remember paying $8.50 to see multiple bands in the 70s and 80s.You can see them next year if you’ve got $800 for a ticket. Saw U2 at red rocks Under. Blood red sky 82/3Tom petty.
The police.
Ac/DC in Buenos Aires. Yes specifically.
Maybe U2 Joshua tree.
There's a bunch of others, but I was never big on concerts, and now, I regret being like that. Ha!
Saw Rush in Jackson on the Hold Your Fire tour & in New Orleans on the Time Machine tour just before their last album Clockwork Angels came out (I think this is up there with the best they’ve ever done). But that tour in 2010 was when Geddy’s voice started to decline.Yeah, but it won't be the same as in their prime and I agree with you, not paying that much for a concert ticket. If memory serves Dash played at the original CD Grill when Jim mosier owned it. I think it was like 88/89 or so.Dash Rip Rock. I feel like by the time I saw them, they lost a step.**
Sorry to be a smartass, but the topic of the thread is a band or artist you regret not seeing. I sense this isn’t a regret. Congratulations, that is awesomeSaw U2 at red rocks Under. Blood red sky 82/3
You’re right. Just reliving the best decade in American history. So farSorry to be a smartass, but the topic of the thread is a band or artist you regret not seeing. I sense this isn’t a regret. Congratulations, that is awesome. I don’t know how many times I’ve watched the footage from that. That had to be fantastic.
Actually I think Ricky may be the original drummer. Before he left and formed Blackfoot. And at least Johnny is Ronnie’s brother.Yeah but JVZ isn't bad and Rickey Medlocke is a bad *** guitarists so even said, they're worth seeing.
Man that must have been awesome. One of my favorite concert videos.Saw U2 at red rocks Under. Blood red sky 82/3
Grand Funk a bit before my time. But hell yeah in the Cars. Great band. Wish I’d seen them when Ben was alive.Grand Funk and the Cars
Ditto. I saw GF about ten years ago when it was still the original members and they brought down the house. Sounded just like my 70's 8 track tape but live.Grand Funk a bit before my time. But hell yeah in the Cars. Great band. Wish I’d seen them when Ben was alive.
