In other words they're just a cover bandYeah but JVZ isn't bad and Rickey Medlocke is a bad *** guitarists so even said, they're worth seeing.

Pat, they are just a cover band with the little brother of the lead singer and a bunch of canibalizing record company executives trying to capitalize on the name. Baby brother was 17 when the plane crash happened and is the only thread holding on nowNow they have the nerve to call themselves Skynyrd w/ no surviving members alive even.
Wonder if Garth got to partake in his "hobby," while in Starkvegas?Garth Brooks when he played The Hump in the early 90's
Alleged hobby.Wonder if Garth got to partake in his "hobby," while in Starkvegas?
Pretty much. Ronnie was the songwriting engine of the band. The story is he wrote the song Sweet Home Alabama while sitting and fishing on a river in Jacksonville while the band was in a nearby building finalizing the music. He never wrote down the lyrics of his songs as he memorized them all as he went over them.Pat, they are just a cover band with the little brother of the lead singer and a bunch of canibalizing record company executives trying to capitalize on the name. GNR and Van Halen. I did see the Van Hagar version in 88.What is a band or artist that you regret not seeing or not seeing in their prime. My two regrets are not seeing GNR in their prime, saw them a year or so ago, and not seeing Prince at all.
Garth may not be in his prime anymore but he still puts on a heck of a show. Sticks to the hits.I had a chance to see Garth Brooks when he played The Hump in the early 90's for free, but declined the ticket because "I didn't like country music".
Had a chance to see Metallica & Aerosmith in the mid-90's but didn't feel like making the drive from Starkville to New Orleans.
