Blondy was a heck of a man. I knew him briefly in the 80's and he was hobbled from playing ball. I had no idea at the time how good he was. I had just become a state fan after the Bama victory and he just looked like a tired, worn out old man to me-not a former SEC superstar. He was super nice and wish I would have been more aware of what he had accomplished.
